it's amazing more news copters don't go down, since nearly every tv station has one these days. sometimes you watch news coverage and wonder how they don't crash into one another.

Well....Metro/Westwood...well, they are not union up in Milwaukee...actually they kinda laughed at us down here when I was still with them..(Metro)..cause we had gone union... After last night I bet they wish they were union. The sad thing is...being non-union in a chopper is bad news...means less life insurance on the pilot/reporter...and his family will suffer and strugle now.

And the pluse side of being union is you can refuse to fly due to poor weather conditions..or if you think that chopper is unsafe/unfit to fly....which might of been both with the incident last night....

Once I remember back in my Metro days....they had to put the chopper down in a Forest Preserve...emergency landing situation...water was leaking into the controls and such....real safe eh? And then there is the News/ Traffic Chopper that went down in Orlando a few years ago if I remember correctly ...since then I said I was never going up...this just clinched it for shure.

LOL... I gave up on that...no, Florida is a Right to work state...they get what they pay for at $5.25 an hour...NOT ME!!! LOL The Unions have very little pull or say so down there.

Talks fell apart a few weeks ago with Clear Channel. They scraped the ideas for there new broadcast Division they were planning down there.... due to poor/low ad revenue.

So I stay in Chi-town for now.:sohappy: :sohappy:

I have had to re-think alot of my strategies (and love life) ...with the economy being in the toilet and all. So.. I am here...and I have a job...and I am grateful for that.
