Hello everyone and Disneyland experts.

I just booked my first trip to Disneyland for this coming November, I am coming from Toronto Ontario Canada so I have a few questions that I hope someone might be able to help me with.

First of all how are the crowd levels in early November ? (2nd- 11th). Also whats the weather like in November?

I heard too book diner reservations for the Blue Bayou restaurant, is there any other ones I MUST do? (Considering this will probably be my only trip to Disneyland)

Will 4 days in the park be enough?

We will be staying at the Best Western plus park place Inn & mini suits, is this a good hotel?

Finally (non Disneyland question) has any one done the Warner Brothers v.i.p studio tour before? Is it worth doing?

Thank you in advance :)

Crowds in early November should be manageable. You will be in-between the Halloween crowds and Holiday crowds. Weather can be a little unpredictable. Should be high 60s/low 70s (20-21C) during the day, but rain might be a possibility. Since it will be the ending of daylight savings, expect cool evenings since it will be getting darker earlier. I always recommend a jacket or sweatshirt for evenings in Anaheim.

Dinner reservations are probably not necessary, but it can never hurt. I'd probably make a reservation for Blue Bayou as a start. You can check out the other restaurants at the resort while you are there and decide to make a reservation the same day. In DL, I think Cafe Orleans is the only other reservable restaurant. Everything else is counter service.

I recommend Carthay Circle in DCA for the atmosphere, but you can just have drinks and appetizers in the bar and get a corn dog later and save some money :) Other restaurants to check out are the Napa Rose in the Grand Californian hotel (expensive) and Trader Sams at the DL hotel (fun).

4 days in the park should be plenty. I have not stayed at that hotel, but it is a great location and others have recommended it.

Have a great trip!

Heard good things on this board about the Best Western Park Place directly across the street from DL. We are staying there ourselves next week so I will give you my thoughts after I return!

We are trying out the Best Western as well so crossing my fingers. The location was perfect without spending the big bucks for an on property hotel and close enough we can take a break if needed and no transportation necessary.

While I haven't done it (till our trip this summer) I've read good things about both Warner Bros and Sony tours. Paramount is the one that doesn't sound as professional. I think Trip Adviser probably has some reviews.

What did you think of the hotel?

Warner Bros VIP Tour, a few years back, was great and a lot of fun. Definitely worth what we paid for it. It's probably one of the better studio tours, and definitely not one in an amusement park atmosphere like at Universal (though that one was pretty cool, too -- but we haven't done THAT one in about 13 years).

I've stayed at that Best Western twice and we plan on using it again. I don't need much from a hotel, I don't use the pool or breakfast buffets, I just need a decent clean room :) This BW was fine and the location of the hotel was outstanding. It's a shorter walk to the turnstiles than if you were staying at the Disneyland Hotel.

I also highly recommend the WB Studio tour. Have done it many times. Both the Sony and WB tour are great but if you only have time for one, go with WB.

4 days is more than enough for just disney parks, you should visit Universal studios and another park..

Best western park place is right accross the main entrance, you will love it, just dont get lost in the night, we stayed there, exited through some other exit and ende up walking for 45 minutes rather than 5.

I'd do Rain Forest in downtown, (you don't need a reservation but I like it)

November weather does get a little cooler, crowds are fine, just avoid Fridays, and Saturdays, those days are still packed.

Just got back from a week in Disneyland and we stayed at the Best Western. Great location.....room was nice had a king bed with a pull-out sofa that the kids slept on. Good sized and clean rooms and the staff was very polite. The Buffet, as stated before is lousy, but it is a good fill up for the morning to get you going in the parks and is free. We stayed in the back of the hotel and had about a 5-10min walk to the front gate of the park. I have stayed at Walt DIsney world resorts in Florida many times and had longer walks from my room to the bus stops at our resort. I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat. I think the only hotel closer is the Grand Californian. Enjoy your trip we had a blast!!!!

Just to add another note we ate at the Blue Bayou and it was very good. You have to try the Monte Cristo(sorry if the spellings off) it was awesome. The atmosphere in the dining room is worth the price of the meal itself. As for booking it early I wouldn't think that is a big problem. We had a 7:30pm reservation and decided we wanted to go earlier that day of and got it changed to 3pm with no problem and a very short wait.
