Our 7-month window opened on Tuesday and the only studio we could book was at Old Key West. I hope you have better luck than me! I'm a little bummed that we won't be in the Epcot area for our wedding festivities and the Food & Wine Festival. I didn't check on 1-bedrooms, though. It might be a little easier to get one of those.

Wow, those flight prices are crazy! We used to pay about a third of that when we lived in north Jersey. $900 per person is more like what we expect to pay now that we live in the boonies of the mountain west.

Ugh,

Well, I guess I will see how the wait list treats me

Thanks for the heads up.

How did you do?

We got our second week booked today. Looks like it's a split stay with the first week at Old Key West and the second at Kidani. We've always wanted to try a savanna view, so I'm pleased with that. Still crossing my fingers for something at the Boardwalk to open up for that first week, but during Food & Wine, I'm not holding my breath.

I got zilch. There are no studios or 1BR open for that time frame in either BCV or BWV. I am waitlisted for a stuido in each. We will see what plays out (OKW and SSR were still open)

The 9th gave us a lot of trouble, I guess maybe because of the Wine and Dine half. We could only find studios at Kidani and Saratoga Springs when we first looked, and later that day Kidani booked up too.

Now that initial park hours are out, are any of you doing preliminary planning? We've got a rough itinerary for the first few days of our trip now, insofar as I think we know which parks we'll want to visit on which days. It's basically Epcot every morning/early afternoon that the Food & Wine festival is still happening, then whatever other park after we're done brunching. :D

I've started my planning! I'm trying to get an idea of what AdRs we want to book and will work! Still have not booked our package yet, but will before our 180 day mark!

Hi!
Can you please tell me, what is the "Wine and Dine half? I am assuming it is a marathon of some sort? Does it get extra crowded for that event? I was just curious because I was planning to do the Food and Wine Festival that weekend, but I would rather move my trip to a weekend that is a little less crowded. Thank you for any advice!

Yes, it's a runDisney event. There's a half marathon the evening of Saturday, the 9th. After the race, there's a finish line party at Epcot until 4:00 AM for the racers (and spectators who aren't running can purchase tickets to attend it as well). There's also a 5k at Animal Kingdom that morning. It does get crowded both for the event and because it's the last weekend of the Food & Wine Festival. Combine that with Jersey Week and the Veteran's Day holiday, it's not the best weekend to be at Epcot. No weekend during the Festival is, though. If you can swing a mid-week visit, that's the way to go.

Thanks so much! I am definitely going to avoid that weekend. Truthfully, since this may end up being a solo trip, I probably could do a mid-week visit. The rooms might even be cheaper during the week! Thanks again!

Anyone else doing both MNSSHP AND MVMCP? I am going to the last Halloween and first Christmas... Can't wait!! As of now this is a solo trip, but I'm hoping some buddies decide to join :-)

Booked in at OKW for the 10-17th. Thinking of adding a day or two on to the beginning for a little more food and wine time. As of now, it'll be a solo trip, so I'm for getting together for a drink w/somebody.

I've had a couple trips with dates that fell where we could do both. Last year we could have, but we did neither. This year, we're getting in the day after the last Halloween party. It's a good party, though. I really love the Boo to You parade. I want to fit the Christmas party into our schedule this year, but I haven't purchased tickets yet.

We're there until the 16th, and would definitely love to grab a drink with any WDW Magic fans we cross while we're there!

We wanted to go when the crowds were a wee bit less so opted for the first week of November this year, right up to the last day of Food and Wine!! I can't blame you for wanting to add a couple of days to your vacation, that's exactly what we did :)
