Yea, I realize this topic may not have to do with Disney, but I thought you guy's would find it pretty interesting.

Apparently, we have this friend who knows one of the actual heads of Universal Studios, & he gave him an inside scoop on the new Harry Potter land. There will be a ride, in which similar to Buzz Lightyear or Men In Black, you use a wand to cast your way into one of the directions you choose, the ride will never be the same when ever you ride it.

Yea, I thought the idea of it was pretty cool. I'll post more details if I find out more.

Woooosh....Thats the sound of the newly rumored HP ride passing right by Toy Story Mania. I really hope Disney can get their acts together and not let someone else sit on top of the "most advanced mountain".

Sounds cool. Will wait to see what actually develops. But, I must say, the HP acquisition (and HHN) will keep me renewing my Universal AP for years to come.

I'm glad that Universal got Harry Potter.

This has forced WDW to stop sitting on its laurels, gloating that it's the most visited destination in Orlando. Now they have to invest in the property again.

everyday, i see the work that goes in to each park. and its pretty phenomenal.

now, if you worded that alil differently...

"Now they have to start taking huge risks, like walt used to do, with their future park and attraction developments."

Not a new park its a new land in IOA and its due to open mid 2009 i think work starts in the next few months. Just think what they could do to the harry potter world at HHN it could become a really cool medevil / gothic world.

I don't care too much for Harry Potter either, but I think a park w/ that theme would be interesting & attractive for people who do like it.

There was an interview done on national TV where they interviewed the author of the books.
They did talk about the park.
So, maybe the plans are in the works.

At first I didnt like the idea oh HP comming to Universal but it keeps sounding better each time I hear something about it. Thanks for the news/rumor hopefully its true. I'll be re-newing my annual pass.
