Not so bad.

I too am glad to hear that our friends are doing ok. I hope we hear from more memebers down there to know that they are ok (like Erika said though, I'm sure getting to a computer isn't top priority right now).

I am alive and well. Not much damage in the casa. Nearby areas though are not good. There was a ladder on the 417....

there isn't any reason for a ladder on the 417.
good to see you out and about! glad you guys stayed safe.

saw pictures of a couch wrapped around a light pole earlier, but haven't seen ladders on a road.

Good to know that you guys up there are okay. We didn't get much of Charley, so we got pretty lucky, just some wind but no rain! :veryconfu
Ft.Myers, on the other hand, got hit badly from what I hear.

Good morning all! I talked to my son at Vista Way last night as the eye was passing over. He said that their lights flickered off and on and then stayed on. Several trees are down and fell on cars, but mostly leaf and debris damage. He said that everyone was fine. I hope everyone else is fine.

It happened that way to Busch Gardens Williamsburg here last year. They had to wait a while to reopen.
I live in VA, too, right near Busch Gardens, and there's a lot more trees here that were down that caused all the damage. There's much more potential for damage here due to there being less trees in the actual WDW parks (with the exception of AK), and Busch has a lot of trees.

Don't forget Patrick. He lives in Kissimmee and they were evidently pounded.

O.k. Animal Kingdom is closed (not really a surprise) Check new photos. Epcot for a while was in doubt. Its open (although the monorail line isn't).

MGM is apparently open, but I checked because there were a lot of conflicting reports. AK is not open, MK is open (rode on the monorail). There are some really big trees down.

I haven't forgotten Patrick by any means. We are very worried about him. Nobody has heard from him.
There is an updated list in the Main News thread...we have 12 people who have checked in so far.

Also...talking with a cast member (also lives in Celebration) she was saying she stayed at a friends house near the airport...all electricity gone.

We are apparently very lucky! So we might not hear from these folks, not because they are not o.k., but because they have no power or lines etc.
