Southwest Wisconsin will be getting snow tomorrow, too! Yippie! But don't worry. We're supposed to get 50 degree weather for the first time all year after spring break ends.

My DD spring break ends tomorrow and will be heading south to her University where the heaviest snows are expected. So not amused. Dang GroundHog.

My DD is in route via motor coach back to Uof I in Central Illinois where there are high winds and lots of heavy snow. She has counted so far 17 cars in the ditch and one tow truck. Joy Joy

Today I just got rid of the last snow pile in my driveway from the February blizzard because I was tired of looking at it. Thankfully tonights snow is supposed to go out to the Atlantic to the south of us, but it's still very cold here for this time of year. Seems like spring doesn't want to come this year.

It is 930 pm and the Provost of U of I now, now, just sends an email saying don't drive on 57 it is too dangerous. If you can't make it to class email professors. Wonder what time he thought these students would be heading back??? it freak'n 930pm and if they are in their cars thinking they are not checking their email.

What is a Provost's salary? Oy.

Yep, my DD has morning classes and that would be why she is returning today after spring break, not the morning. Couldn't do both.

I forgot about spring break. It's my last year of high school, so my spring break isn't until the end of this week. They could be thinking about commuters, though.

It shouldn't be called spring break. It should be called "Winter Break: Part 2"

Well, I woke up this morning to see the most snow outside my window I've seen all winter. Which hasn't been much this winter. I look at my email, and it says, "2 hour delay." So I go back to sleep. 2 hours later, I wake up, and it's still snowing. This time, I check my email, and it says, "All schools closed. Office staff 2 hour delay."

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I only have a 3 day week as Friday is the begining of Winter Break, part 2

Sigh. My snow story... I live in the Midwest and we got a lot more snow than predicted. I went home this weekend (which is 2 hours away from where I normally live) and it wasn't terrible at all there. But coming back... the wind whipped up and it started really snowing. Scariest moment of my life. I hit a patch of ice and lost control of my car Think God was watching out for me because my car spun all the way around. I hit the guardrail on the passenger side rather than the driver side...so I'm sore today and sort of feel like I have the flu but it's better than the broken bones I probably would have had, had the car not completely spun around. Car on that side is wrecked but without the guardrail there, my car likely would have rolled down the steep embankment. So I'm very blessed but that was still no fun And needless to say, I am ready for winter to be done.
