Not A Ride or Show

When we get off the plane and walk through the airport and see the Disney Store, walking down to the Magical Express area and getting on the bus, getting dropped off at our resort and walking in and getting our welcome packet and finding our room, getting on a bus and going to the MK and walking under the train station and seeing Cinderellas Castle from the other end of Main Street and looking around and taking it all in, then moving on to PoTC, Splash Mountain, BTMRR, and Haunted Mansion. When the day is done and we are ready to go back to our room, we stop and get a child's ice cream cone with the chocolate mickey ears with mint choc chip ice cream and walk back to the bus stop.

For me it varies on our 1st Park:
Magic Kingdom: When we start walking down Main Street and seeing the Castle.
Epcot: When I see the giant sphere - Spaceship Earth
Disney Hollywood Studios - When I see The Tower of Terror
Animal Kingdom - When I see the Tree of Life

Well, we all know the wonderful job Magic Kingdom does of literally transporting you into no-man's land and literally disconnecting you from society. So for me I'd have to say it's when you first go around the bend on the monorail and can see the castle standing out on its own. Of course there are other things:

- Sleeping Beauty walkthrough in Disneyland. Honestly, who wouldn't want to walk through that castle (and you said not a ride or a show right?)
- "Walt Disney World" sign and "Magic Kingdom" sign before you park
- The exit sign as you leave the park grounds "See you real soon". I can honestly say that when my son watches Mickey's Clubhouse and Mickey says something along the lines of "thanks for coming" or "see you real soon" I get taken back to WDW everytime
- The obvious one - Main Street. Where do you look? And you can never soak up enough atmosphere on Main Street. Just lovely.
- Also, whenever I just see a train. Whether it be the railroad train that goes around the park or even Casey Jr. at Disneyland. It just gives you that feeling inside

My heart starts pumping faster as I go down I-4 and see Sea World, Universal, and then finally the sign for WDW resorts.:D We all yell "We're here!":D
