Maybe they didn't want light coming into the ride, so they closed the opening? Hope they'll keep the waterfall in some form, as if cascading down the rocks....but the area is going to be so crowded it'll be hard to enjoy whatever is there.

Yes! They are using the same effect as the dwarfs on 7DMT and it has to be dark for it to work. But lets hope the waterfall is still there

I think the ride is going to be cold given the ac units all over the top. So perhaps plugging up that scene helps close that off so the air doesn't leak?

As of a couple hours ago all the doors were locked.
