Im not sure if this has been discussed before so I posted a thread about it. What is to become of the AAs from maelstrom? Most seemed to be A-1's, as far as their movements indicated with the exception of maybe the trolls. Will they be reused for parts? May we see the polar bear appear in another attraction in the near future? Anyone?

Some went into storage/archives such as the three headed troll and baby polar bear,,,,the large standing polar bear I believe is being reskinned/repurposed into the marshmellow monster, or whatever its called from frozen.

Do you think the Limited movement of that polar bear will be advanced enough for this highly advanced attraction ...jk... But really :(

Hey what's up my man, hope all is well, btw, any idea on how many feet of flume are used for the new portions of the ride a.k.a. the old backstage area
There isn't really that much more. The backstage area was minimal - just a U turn after unload back to load. Added to the new S bend across the old queue floor and there's probably 50ft additional flume if that. The big difference will be that it's all on stage and part of the ride.

Did the Troll make it out @aladdin2007 ? I had the understanding it wasn't being salvaged.

Good news if it did.

martin, update: the three headed troll, the baby polar bear, the attraction sign, and the wall map from the queue were saved. The standing polar bear as we already know is becoming the marshmellow monster..... Thats what has been shared with me. If something from that turns out to be incorrect well send me back over the falls as disappointed but sounds pretty certain.

The Baby Polar bear was on Display at the last Destination D Event last November...Found on Google.

Here's a question I have for @marni1971, when an attraction closes like Maelstrom, are little props such as the flags that hung in the queue just taken by CM's and demo crews? Or does disney insist that most of this stuff is destroyed? Not only with the little flags, but all props in general

Generally, the official archive get first pass. They'll tag and salvage what they can that offers a representation of what's being removed or has historical significance. Assuming the items don't have more value being recycled - like AAs, lighting, computing, audio and the like. Then what's left is usually removed if possible and. Softly makes it way to property control. Some items can get lost on the way of course.

Anything not easily or in their eyes worthwhile removing is left for the demolition.

So the polar bear is becoming the marshmallow man? I guess that AA is going to have very limited movement. Thank you for the info and please correct me if I'm wrong about the very limited movement this AA will have... Thank you
