Pre-Trip Nope, that's not my baby...(Pre-Trip Report Completed - with Photos!)

Heyyyyy There!

It's been a while since I've done a TR, but this one will be short since it's a 2 day trip and chock full of goodies.

First, let's help you figure out the title. My best friend's husband is part Taiwanese and therefore they produced the cutest quarter Asian baby known to man...meet Ava.

Here's the funny part...when Best Friend (Brooke) and I (Mel) go up to Disney together with Ava for a girls only trip, people automatically think we are a lesbian couple with an adorable adopted Asian baby. This entertains me to no end and to be clear, I in NO way mean to offend anyone.

Brooke and I are in the middle, she's the blonde and I'm the brunette. PS - Ava is rocking the world out of those sunglasses, is she not?

I guess we can actually consider this a PreTrip report since, but since we are going on THIS Saturday and Sunday (9/27 and 9/28) I figured I'd just use the Trip Report label on it. Either way, here's the plan:

Saturday, 9/27/2014 - Hollywood Studios

- Everything FROZEN - We are Frozen obsessed and really wanted to see the Fireworks before they stopped them for the Summer. We grabbed Fastpasses for the Frozen Sing Along and are hoping the lines won't be too bad at Wandering Oakens. Yoooo hooooooo, we're happy to be hitting this before it Big Summer Blows Out of DHS for a little bit.

- Goodbye to Backlot Tour - Even in it's sad state, I really just want to see Catastrophe Canyon one last time

- First Time on Toy Story Midway Mania - Brooke has never been on, but I hear it's a struggle with a little one. Ava is just over 1 year and I was surprised to even find out they have NO minimum height requirement.

- Disney Junior Live on Stage - Ava has just started to get into Mickey's Clubhouse. She's the second baby I know that is OBSESSED with the Hot Dog Song. What is it about that song that gets them so riled up? I've never been to the show, but we are super excited to see her reaction!

- ADR at 50's Prime Time Cafe - **Story Time** I have not been to this restaurant since I was 13 and had a horrible experience. My server "Aunt" or "Cousin" asked me to take my purse off the table. I was super excited to have a purse that I needed to put stuff in for the first time...mainly because I had JUST gotten my period for the first time and had to stock it with various feminine items. When I didn't move it, she presumed to turn it over and spill out all the contents - tampons and panty liners in all - right on the table. I was devastated and mortified and told my parents I would never go back. I shall let you know how it goes this time around, haha

Sunday, 9/28/2014 - Epcot

The main goals for Epcot are Food, Wine and Maelstrom, haha.

Food and Wine - Honestly, this is the main catalyst for us going to Epcot. I have my eye on the Pepper Bacon Hash from the Farm Fresh booth as the new item of the year. My standby fave is the Mongolian Beef Steamed Bun in China. Brooke's is the Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri from the booth formerly known as Argentina, which is now Patagonia.

Maelstrom - I won't get a chance to ride it before it gets Frozen on October 6th, so this will be my last time. :( I think Brooke has actually never been on it before, so it will be a first and last for her!

We also found out that Hanson is performing that night, so depending on how baby Ava is doing that afternoon we may relive our pre-teen years and scream MmmBop at the top of our lungs.

***Ok, more photos for Ava! Totally forgot that Brooke did a It's a Small World theme for Ava's first birthday. They dressed Ava up in a traditional Taiwanese dress that Brooke's mother-in-law brought over from Taiwan, and she looked like she belonged right in the ride!

We also painted a mural of the clock from It's a Small World as a backdrop for the party. I think it came out pretty well! Can you spot the attempt at a Hidden Mickey?
