Non Members can't view Chit Chat

I sent a link to a Chit Chat thread to my Boston family, but they could not view it without logging in (they are not Disney fans and so are not likely to becomes members).

Non memebers can view other threads, any reason they can't view Chit Chat?

I was wondering why this as well.. could it be to encourage people to join?

A few of the boards require membership of the forums, specifically they are boards that are really meant as areas just for members of the forum to participate in.
