But during like the whole time, the lady just kept like pounding stuff into my head for me to remember. Like she probablly only asked me like 3 questions total. But other than that, she just told me about hours, and the role I needed to take part in..

I dressed up pretty well, blue long sleeve shirt, hair looked good, tie, black pants, black socks, black pants..hopefully they'll call me back. Thanks for the all the suggestions guys!

Glad to hear everything went well! :D

By the way.....I'm about to go apply at Publix today....why? Because I need a job!

I would write that letter now. Thank the lady for the interview. Take what she was pounding into your head and say how you would be good at doing each thing, or how it relates to something that you do good now. Make the letter short and sweet, two or three paragraphs. The last line should be something along the line of "I hope to have the opportunity to work for Publix, and I hope to be hearing from you soon."

Call her back in a week to inquire about the job.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the tips TAC..I'll keep that in mind. She just said, if that they want me, they'll call me by tommorrow to see if I want it. So if they don't call me, I'll write the letter then. Thanks!

Well, I just went and applied. SirHiss, how long did it take for them to reply to you?

Well NemoRocks, did you apply on the computer at the store?

If you did, they never check those applications..here's the deal. Basically what you have to do is this..

1. Find someone you know that works for, or knows Publix people.
2. Get that person to print out your application from the computer.
3. They'll give the application to the manager.
4. If they want you then, they will call you to set up a interview..

It's so dumb though, that they never check there other applicants.

By the way- I did get the Job!!! I am now officially a bag boy...:sohappy:

Thanks everyone for there support, and tips!

It may be only an entry level job, but I know someone who is now a manager in a ShopRite grocery store that started out pushing carts.

I did actually use the computer. Thanks for telling me that though, looks like I'll have to go back and get an application.

BTW--Congrats on getting the job! :sohappy:

Congrats!

I know it's only a bag boy, entry level job, but remember your future endevors. Many people don't think about sending a thank you letter. With all of the positions I have interviewed for, if I sent a thank you letter, I never failed to get the position I wanted. For my current position, I interviewed with SIX people, two of which at the same time.

Are you by any chance working at the Publix on Vineland Road ?

Hey kid, I want my stuff double bagged and taken out to the car. :D

No problem. Not trying to scare you or anything. The one on Vineland Road is where my wife and I buy our groceries when we stay off-site :lookaroun
