Non Disney Guests Linking MagicBands to our MDE acc - Help

Hi all,

We are travelling to Florida next month but sadly staying offsite. However we are all going to buy Magic Bands and want to have them linked to a MDE account which has us all set up on. Please can you provide us with some info on how to do this.

Can we link them to the MDE account ourselves or do we have to get these linked by guest relations?
If we can do it how easy is it and how do we go about doing it?

Do they get linked to just the account or do we have to apply each magicband to a member of our friends and family group thats set up in our MDE acc?

Bands are linked specifically to a person, not just an account in general.

You'll want to set up profiles for everyone beforehand. It'll make things easier when you buy the Bands, though the main reason is that you'll be able to make FP+ choices at the 30-day mark. You can either set up one "master" account for the group leader and "managed by them" sub-profiles for each person under them, or have each person set up their own account and then link them all together. Either way, you'll have to link your park tickets to those profiles to make FP+

When you buy the Bands, the CM selling them to you will take your park tickets and use those to link them to you. It's quick and painless.
If for some reason you're buying a Band for someone who isn't present or doesn't have their ticket, you can buy the Band in a "to be linked later" status and link it using the 12-digit serial number via the MDE website or app just like you did with the tickets.
