No waiting allowed!

Our 9 days at WDW has started and hit EPCOT yesterday and MK for extended hours last night...What a great way to start your Disney vacation by walking right onto rides with no waiting! 85-90 degree sunny weather all week, great rides and food and limited idiots who feel the need to rush ahead of you then wait for the doors to open!

Going to start a daily blog with pictures for anyone who is interested....

When we went to Tokyo Dining it was really good, we had the chicken tempura. Was kinda interesting, since it was a large difference from the hibachi style resturant down the hall from it. Servers were very helpful and sociable, they took pictures of us told us all about the menu.

There was a mom with her kids (spanish speaking) one of whom decided to become violently ill as soon as they walked through the door, running to the bathroom. When he came back he looked like he was a heat casualty. Oh well, it was toasty.

Try out the asian dining place at animal kingdom, Yak and Yeti, the pictures look really cool and we didnt have the patience to stay at animal kingdom, as it was the hottest day during our week there.

EDIT: Try at your own will, as I've just read good and bad things about it.

First Ride Issues of the trip

We experienced the first ride issues of the trip tonight....on Test Track...the thermal imagine did not work, but that was not the worse of it....The ride had three malfunctions on our second ride (10 min wait for single riders and 20 stand by)...the robots were not working...the ride came to a sudden stop in the heat lamp room and the breaking malfunctioned.....was a terrible ride....:fork: Luckily, we have been on it so many times we know what it is supposed to be like.

Lovely bride and I got Fast Passes for Evert Express and got on with little wait...during the first ride, I video taped the entire ride....was a blast....which ties into the second "issue"...at first I thought I missed the Yeti at the end of the ride-as I was taping-but on the second ride, did see it, but not like in the past...only the eyes and it appears the light that shines on him was out.....

My daughter and I walked right on to Dinasour at AK...came off the ride and walked right back on with wife. We love that ride and all was working well!

Am starting to keep a log of all the 'idiot things guests" do that make you just scratch your head...saw some real doozies tonight!

the CM's in front of SM is classic...

Talk about cost saving measures...I felt sorry for these two CMs and walked up to them to ask do they really have to stand out in front of the sign? In fact, there are at least two signs ahead of the ones they were standing by!:ROFLOL:

They both were great and when I asked them to stand by the sign and put their arms up as if saying, "sorry what can we do...and act like they were upset" they were all for it!:king:

As my business part of the trip is now over (you know how difficult it is to be in meetings and being texted by the family saying what they are doing and sending me pics!!!! )can really start having a lot of fun all day!:sohappy:

We ate at Narcoosees last night and WOW that was worth the two dining plan meals. Absolutely fabulous food...and right on cue, our meal arrived right when wishes started....not too many people standing outside of our window view...and our kids got up to watch the light parade...loved it. GET THE CRAB CAKES AND SOUP.....better than any on the East Coast!

OK, more later and the "idiot award for last night" belongs to the family from NJ-with the mom driving-going into EPCOT parking and decided to park at the front of the aisle vs. where to be directed.....she then had to drive down the open parking spaces to her slot (after the parking attendant was yelling at her to move....) then she proceeded to almost T-bone a driver who was parking in the right spot (ahem ME!!!!). But wait, the story is not over...her family of 4 proceeded to walk behind the cars even after being told to walk in front....was pricessless!

Off to Disney Studios:eek:!

Oh..weather is stil in the mid 80's and the lines although getting a bit longer, still not at all coming to close to being bad....

Crowds and wait times picking up

Well...the crowds and waiting times are starting to get larger....Did the stand by for a couple in MK and waiting 20 mins or so, still not bad at all, but also walked right onto Pirates around 6pm. Dinner at the Castle was great....

Had a bad surprise yesterday with the back lot tour....the tram tour now is done by a recording and not very well at that...the female's voice becomes annoying very quickly and no new items are on the tour....

When I got off, I asked the cast member how long has it been automated, and was told about a month...the driver asked me what I thought and told him I didnt like it at all....to which he said "Neither do we....":brick: I know this is no Universal Studios of California, but please, Disney could make this so much more....Also, have trees seen half way up the NY sky high rise buildings (in the background) um is not a good sight...they must be 100 stories tall!

Indiana Jones show was completely full and think unless they change it soon, won't go to see again....:snore:

Today is suppose to be in the 90s with larger crowds....:lookaroun

Epcot

EPCOT today was clearly more crowded, but still nothing as bad as I have seen in previous visits...Went on Living w/ the Land with only a 5 min wait, got Fast Pass for Soarin and was lucky to be in the first row middle rider...wow, first time there and that was the best view! (Disney does need to clean parts of the film...some noticable bad spots can be seen)...got another fast pass for later tonight...

Our kids (10 and 13) went on Test Track three times in about an hour via single rider as we went to Finding Nemo with our youngest. The line said 10 minutes and were worried as the line was out the door...but sure enough, 12 minutes later, we were looking for Nemo!

My wife and I went on Fast Pass as single riders and were hitting the rumble strips 20 minutes after going in!

Although just a movie, enjoyed Circle of Life as it has a good message for the kids...Ate lunch at LeCellier and that has moved up to the top of anyones list for steak...and the potato soup is as good as advertised. Saw the Canada movie again and is good for a laugh or two.....

extended hours are tonight so going back until midnight...have fast passes for Test Track again...and going to finally see the movies at France and USA.

A lot of people were chuckling when I took this picture and one guy asked why I was taking a picture of a mirror...hey, if you cant have fun in Disneyworld when can you? :ROFLOL:

magical hours

EPCOT magical hours were great....Hit all the rides again, and for our Soarin Fast Pass ride, we once again got row 1 but to top it off, lovely bride got the middle seat! By far, vehicle 'B' is the best to be on....

Hit the movie in France and well, sorry, was a real snoozer for me....and also for my son whose highlite was a staring contest ! (Um son-it's a statue)

but the American Movie was well worth it! Got some decent shots....

Worse Part Of ANY Disney Trip....

By far, the worst day/part of any Disneyworld trip is now upon the May family....as after a year of planning....having goofy dinner table chats of "best and worse"...."what ride will we go on first"..."who will spot the first character" etc...is here. The LAST DAY at Disneyworld always is so bittersweat.....There have been more great memories created-to last a life time- but it seems almost every hour during the last day, the phrase of "last time we will do/see this until next time..." comes up.:(:(

Today we will start off with our "last rides" at Animal Kingdom...Dinasours then Tough to be a bug.....Feels as if was just yesterday, my 13 y/o daughter was screaming and pulling me through the park to get in line...was it really over a week ago? LOL

After our 'last' afternoon pool break will head to MK for dinner at Crystal Palace..then hit all the rides one last time during Magic Hours....

Holding my 7 y/o daughters hand in line for Dumbo...or getting splashed on Splash Mountain with my 10 y/o son...or finally going on Pirates one last time with the entire family...today will be another great day (parks are supposed to be very crowded)...'one last time'. :animwink:

It is always so hard to leave. I know that feeling all too well, as do others. What helps me is if I start thinking of our next trip while I am still there. If I leave MK with a new trip in mind and we talk about a "next time" I always walk away feeling good. If I fail to plan my next trip I am a mess and so sad on my way out. Either way, sounds as if you all had a great time, good weather, low crowd levels and good company to be there with. Can't ask for more than that!
