"No strings attached" golden ticket

As a member said above, it would still be valid, however when you use it, it will be taken off you. So either use it and lose it or keep it as a souvenir.

Yeah, I kept it I think but have no idea where it is. They really aren't a big deal. I mean, a nice gesture but not a great souvenir. It's on a piece of yellow carbon copy paper.

We received one of these "Golden Tickets" this past September at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival. We were in the Chase lounge when a small snake--a juvenile black racer (non-poisonous)--appeared on the floor between some of the live potted plants. Apparently, an egg had hatched that had been laid in the soil in one of the pots. There was quite a bit of commotion, but my husband just picked it up and took it outside, letting it go in a hedge.

Remove a snake from anywhere in my vicinity, poisonous or non poisonous and I'll reward him with more than a free ride. I'll call him "Super hero" and treat him to a meal. I cant stand them ... no matter the size.

Snakes... whyd it have to be snakes!!!

Tell you what. Because I am the kind of person that I am and always try to be helpful to all people, if you send it to me, I will test it out and let you know if it was still valid or not. No need to thank me, I do this kind of thing because I'm trying to work my way to heaven. That will be thanks enough. Just so we are on the same page, I would like to emphasize that I am referring to the "No Strings Ticket" not the snake. That you can keep!

Shortly after he rejoined us, we had a castmember and a management type come over to ask us questions regarding the incident. When finished, the manager gave us this ticket, allowing our family a Fast Pass Entry to our attraction of choice. We used it to ride the Maelstrom one last time (just a couple days before it closed with waits of over an hour and no fastpasses available). I convinced the castmember at Maelstrom to let me keep the ticket as a souvenir and I still have it. View attachment 82163 View attachment 82165

We received one of these on our last trip when POTC went 101 just as we were about to board.

To answer your question, from my understanding, there really isn't a true expiration date on it as it is usually given as guest service recovery for some issue or another. The last thing they would want it for the guest to have something that expires when they just had it given to them for a situation.

That said, I know many CMs who will use the date in the top right corner as the date that it is valid for. In most cases, it is used day of or maybe a few days later, but if you were to say use it like a year later, I think you might encounter a few CMs that will be skeptical of it.

I should think that if you were ever given a "No Strings Attached" ticket, one would have to dress up and go in style.

We got one of those last month from a nice cast member. We had just went for the first time using our AP and I asked a CM how to get FP+ to match our friends. She sent us to the kiosk to attempt to do it, and then a few minutes later came up to us with one. She said it could only be used that day (the date in the corner) and could not be used for any meet and greets.

My manager on my CP handed one out to a guest after a CM accidentally spilled a beer on a guest. He gave it to the guy for a new shirt to wear.

From what I've heard from friends who are former CM's, while pretty much anyone can give these out for Guest Recovery issues (of which a FastPass is the most common one), someone keeps track of them to make sure that CM's don't abuse them by giving things out for free to everyone or to give things out for no reason.

My friend was working in the Liberty Square Market and had to give out a pass for an entire new set of clothing to a Guest when the pressurized ketchup/mustard system essentially exploded all over the Guest. Shirt, shorts, shoes, the whole deal.

We received something similar (or may have been the same thing) after we found one of the white paint brushes that the used to hid on Tom Sawyer's Island. Too bad they don't do that any more. We handed the paint brush to the CM when we came back off the island and he gave us the ticket and we used it as a FastPass for something.

We received one like Disneymom51 posted last year (around October-ish). It was very late in the evening and my daughter wanted a balloon and I didn't have any cash on me. I went to City Hall to ask where the nearest ATM was to get cash for a balloon (The ATM was right behind me! It was very late. LOL) And the CM said hold right there, and came back with a ticket and said to take it over to the balloon guy to redeem for a balloon.

Here is how a No Strings Attached works.

Their purpose is to give CMs the ability to make a bad situation a little better. CMs can give them out as a universal FP (only good for one attraction per ticket), to replace a spilled drink, dropped ice cream, or if someone falls down (usually a child) or gets hurt. Regular CMs are limited to $25 in value for the compensation (this is why most are issued as a FP) but Manager's have no limit. They can be used to allow a guest to get items of clothing if damaged on property and even replace items purchased that are damaged while in the parks.

They are only good in the Park that they were issued and the day of issue. If it is very late the CM will ask what the guest's plans are for the next day and call a manager who can issue one for another park and another day.

They are closely monitored because some CMs were giving them out to friends and family as well as to guests that might be celebrating something (which they are not meant for). They are also limited to six (6) guests per ticket.

If the CM feels that something above their limit is warranted, they will either call a Manager or send the guest to Guest Relations.

We got one at EPCOT. Southwest Airlines Vacation screwed up and didn't have our tickets waiting at customer service as promised. I was stressing out and the CSM saw that. Southwest finally got it fixed. The Disney CSM came out of the booth and said, "I saw what you just went through and I want to help make it better, this will get you to the front of the line at any ride. I suggest "Test Track" because that's our busiest ride. That should help you recover the time you lost here."

I was thrilled and grateful. We went to Test track and it worked like a charm. Straight to the front. I was expecting the cast member to take the slip, but he handed back to me. When I looked at him funny, he winked and said, "use it for another ride!" We got to use that pass all day long! It was PURE DISNEY MAGIC. It finally got collected as the park was closing at Soaring.

We couldn't have been happier!

Hi all

Had anyone ever received one of these and if so do you know if they have an expiry. I was issued one and there is no reference to expiry on it.

Thanks all :)
We received one of these tickets 3 years ago on our first trip with our son.
We still have it to use on our next trip.

There is no expiry.

If you had unleashed that snake in the Maelstrom queue it would have emptied in 1.35 seconds and you'd have had unlimited no-wait access.

Disney newbies, tsk...
