Trip Report No Sounds Like Summer? We'll JOURNEY Anyway! *COMPLETED*

It was this week last summer that @TrolleyFollower91 and I had an epic girls trip to WDW.

On our first day we rocked to the music of DSB ~ the ultimate Journey tribute band ~ at the America Gardens Theater in Epcot. It was an event we'll always remember. DSB was the final band in the annual "Sounds Like Summer" concert series. The lead singer said the band was looking forward to returning next summer.

And here we are.....it's "next summer."

But there has been no "Sounds Like Summer" concert series in 2017. :(
No DSB. :arghh:

Don't. Stop. Believin'.

Em and I refuse to go our Separate Ways. We have too much fun together. We have one last chance to do WDW together before school starts and by golly we're gonna do it....even without DSB.

Want to tag along?

Attempting a full-fledged LIVE trip report is daunting and difficult, so I decided to follow @TheMouseFan's lead and be LIVE-ish. Real time pics and updates to be expanded on after my return home.

Oh, and I will finish my currently-in-progress trip report. :D

Who's ready for Summer #2?

Are we doing song lyrics?
Tell me more, tell me more.....
Following along!

You are Faithfully keeping us on the edge of our seats. Glad one of us here on wdwmagic gets to be in the bubble.
Ladies, your cleverness made me LOL!

Was the lady who thought it looked like a Bass store from the same family who thought the bus smelled nice? Or were you just lucky to be on the bus with a bunch of people cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs?
Number 2. :cautious:

DSB (don't stop believing)
HOTTF( hold on to that feeling)
Max

I'm here!
Gonna be there in 12 Days.
I couldn't pass up the chance to see Ellen and the GMR before they close.
Those darn Passholder E Mails.
Unfortunately the only Passholder discount room was Club Level at the Poly;):).yes I am a @Tuvalu Wanna be.
Have a Blast Ladies:cat:
Cindy
You'll love Poly Club :inlove:

I was wondering when your next trip would be! As I wandered around the Poly on Friday night I half expected to run into you. I live 20 minutes from the parks and you're there more than I am ;)
It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it. :D

Quickstep was performing in the U.K. and we stopped to watch. They were a talented bunch!

Remember a few years ago when they brought them in (or a very similar Irish group, that has also performed in that area), and there was a big discussion about how some guests thought they did not fit the entertainment profile? It wasn't the music, but they did not have "costumes" such as performers in all of the other countries around WS.

I was on the fence with this at the time, but the reasoning behind the "street clothes" was that the group was supposed to be indicative of street musicians, and that's what they'd wear. The lack of themed costumes was definitely a departure for WDW, but in this one venue, I think it's appropriate.

I miss the World Showcase Players but Quickstep was very authentic and did not seem out of place to me.
