Back at the room and kids in bed in less then one hour after holiday wishes! With crowds like they were at the MK today, that is shocking to me. I have to say, transportation has been excellent this week for us. Not sure how its been at other resorts, but the YC/BC buses have been great!

After the show we stayed a bit to get a few more pictures. If you ever do the Backyard BBQ, be sure to stay after. The characters come back out for a little while after the pavilion is cleared. Very few people stay!

Loved this display.

We had a chance to meet each character again, but this was the only time we got Chip and Dale.

After taking the boat to the Contemporary and making the short walk to the MK, we used our two FPs and last FP+ to ride Buzz, Space Mtn, and Peter Pan. We entered the park at 7:25, and even with the large crowd we were able to do all three plus the Peoplemover in just over an hour! I love FP+, but I hope they never get rid of the paper FPs.

Then it was time for the dessert party. They didn't begin to allow guests in until about 9:10. By 9:30, they had run out of coffee, hot water, napkins, and a few other things. It really didn't bother me, but there were some pretty ticked off guests that let the event manager have it!!!!!

We just relaxed and enjoyed the stress free view of the castle!

The kids were tired. There were up very early this morning with Santa excitement. As we left this morning, we figured Madelyn would never make the day. But, it was Brayden who didn't make it. He feel asleep on the chairs at the dessert party before Holiday Wishes :(

Wow to all the characters at the BBQ! I hve been very interested in doing the BBQ for our family but never really saw many reviews of it! Looks like you were lucky and banked on the characters there! I wonder how many they usually have???

Lol - love the picture of you on the other side! Bet it felt strange as I think that's the first one I've seen from the last 2 trip reports I've read!? That did make me chuckle.

There are more characters on a holiday then normally. We have been to the BBQ 5 times (twice on Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, a normal summer, and now on Christmas Day) and there are definitely more on the holidays. Last month at Thanksgiving, Pocahontos and Meeko were there as well as Liver Lips and Big Al. On the Fourth, Phineas and Ferb were there. Minnie, Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale have always been there. The food is a little different on some holidays as well (Turkey, ham, pumpkin pie) as well as the regular favorites. If I recommend a time to go, it would be a holiday!

Lunch was great. Our server, Mandy, was excellent

Prime Time is a favorite of Crystal's because they make gluten free fried chicken. It takes about 45 minutes, so we stopped in about 20 minutes early to let the chef know we would be there. Worked out great. We sat and 10 minutes later our food was there!
