No Pop Warner football this year? I looked in the ESPN WWOS website and saw that they are not hosting the event this December? Should I get the planning started??? Any one else know if this is true?

I was at WDW last year at the tail end of it, and had one full day of the chaos :lookaroun that surrounds the event..luckily, it was my arrival day and didnt affect my trip(Southwest losing my sister's bag, was affecting us enough).

ps: My sister's bag never made it off of the plane, and went to PHX, the DEN, then MCO...the bag was more travelled than she was...but she got it back..

According to the PopWarner's website the championship will be Dec 4 – 11 2010 at ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex - Lake Buena Vista, FL.

Just another example of Disney's inability to run a website.

I've been there several times during Pop Warner and never had a problem. The cheerleaders are another story.

Even more ironic considering Disney is the largest entertainment and media company in the world. You'd think keeping a website up-to-date would be a piece of cake. :brick:

It's a lot harder than you think. Odds are the web team is located no where near the parks. Maybe New York, Chicago, something exotic like that. Or even if they are near the parks, they still only know what they are told. So until WWoS says "We have this event on these days" the web guys have no clue. The same applies for park hours, closed attractions, etc. If someone in marketing doesn't cc the right person in the web group when they announce a ride opening early, the web group doesn't know to make the change.

Look at how long it takes the front line CM's to find out about changes. They are directly affected by things so imagine trying to keep someone in a remote location up to date.

Yeah they are annoying to say the least. How about getting onto Pirates and having 30 of them behind you cheering the whole time.

Thank God I'm leaving Disney on 12/4. I'll miss all that riff raff at the parks.

Really? Cheerleaders are cheering right in line for rides? Why? Are they cheering on the pirates or something? Makes no sense.

Went last dec during pop warner and we ran into a couple of unruly groups of kids unsupervised. They were swearing and pushing eachother around into other people and just causing havoc. We just reported them to the closet cm and they took care of the situation. The kids are supposed to have a chapperon(sp?) with them at all times, but some of the adults are just as irresponsible as the kids. I would like to say it was only a couple of groups and not the whole pop warner group, so I do not want to lump them in all together, they are still better than the Brazillian tour groups I think.
