No Park Hopper..

My husband insists on hopper. I think we could make it without it except for AK and MGM. We never spend a whole day at either one of those.

Personally, I don't find any of the individual parks worth their admission, but the hopper adds the value to it. Plus, while it is definitely worthwhile to go on your favorite rides more than once, it's much easier to be spontaneous with the hopper. I just don't understand how people can plan their days so precisely. I like to do things as the mood arises...without a hopper I couldn't!

We never seem to hop either - I like immersing my self in the park all day. Our plan is usually breakfast at the resort, counter service for lunch and a sit-down dinner and with all the different shops to window shop we can usually fill the day. Of course, we have usually went during crowded times, so we knew we couldn't ride everything. This will be our first time during a non-peak time and we are looking forward to that. For Animal Kingdom which closes earlier, we usually schedule the Hoop De Doo for that night or dine at one of the resorts and explore it, or visit Downtown Disney for the evening. I do pay for the water parks option, because we like to indulge on those - especially when there is a park with an evening EMH!

We just did 14 days at WDW and decided we spent a lot of time on the monorail and buses. We actually won't make a point of going back to Whispering Canyon Cafe due to the amount of travel time required (perhaps we just got bad luck). If you finish a park early you can always go back to the resort for a swim, downtown disney, etc.,

I'd say our next trip will be no hoppers.

We havnt used the hopper in ages.
I personally think its one of the biggest wastes of money at Disney.
Instead of enjoying yourself and spending a day at a park..
you waste an hour or two traveling from park to park.
I just see no use for it anymore. We see MORE at Disney without it.

We are leaving in 3 days for Disney and we decided against the hopper as well. I have 4 kids (3 under 5) and it would be too hard to drag all of them and all of their stuff from park to park. We got a 7 day pass, 2 days at MK, 2 at Epcot, 1 at AK and 1 at DHS. The extra day will be to go to any park the kids might want to go back to, even if it's for only a couple of hours it's worth it because an extra day was only like $20 or something for us all. With 4 kids any vacation can be stressful but I'm hoping that we can be able to take our time and relax a little, something we would not have been able to do if we were hopping around all day.

I get the hopper. We usually go back to our room in the middle of the day anyway so it's not really a big deal to just go to a different park for the evening if we have ADRs or a show or something we want to see.

The only time we left one park and went directly to another was when we left EPCOT to catch Fantasmic at DHS. We took the boat. That was a mistake. Never again.

We have done it both ways! Last April we didn't get hopper and got waterparks instead:sohappy: but we have always had a relaxed approach to Disney:) We usually sleep in til about 9 and hit the parks after a swim. We do a ride or two and head for lunch. We never really have trouble doing what we enjoy even though we usually have to travel during peak times. The last DS is now 11 and can close the parks down:lol: We even love the parks more at night!! To us it didn't make that much difference we just planned our sit down around the park we are in:D
