No more Disney dollars on credit

Last time I was at WDW I was told that you could no longer buy Disney dollars using your credit card. I was told that this policy changed a year ago.
On the other hand, the Disney Store still does.

Disney Store is not own by Disney Company anymore. Can you use those dollars bought at the Disney Store in the park or just in Disney Stores?

You can use them anyplace Disney...
Although the stores are not necessarily 'owned' (run) by Disney, they are still Disney.

I was gonna get upset for a minute. I have always gotten mine at the Disney Store before we leave. It allows me to get extra miles on my credit card for that purchase.

It is my understanding that due to credit card fraud some retailers are starting to do this. Gift cards and the like are a way of rapidly laundering the open credit on a stolen credit card before it is reported stolen and shut down.

If one day you are no longer able to purchase gift cards without cash i would be out of luck. Its ashame how much fraud takes place.
