No love for Lilo?

What, no mention of the animes that replace Lilo with some new young girl character for Stitch to be BFFs with?

I’m not Japanese, so anime doesn’t really interest me all that much.

Plus almost every guy I’ve seen who was my age and really big into anime gave off major creeper vibes.

They’re almost as bad as the whackadoos who show up to Galaxy’s Edge in a full Sith Lord costume with their ignited plastic lightsabers.

I saw one of those marching proudly down Hollywood blvd with his head held high and black cloak flapping in the wind.

Im just like “come on man, you’re 40 years old…”

I agree but you have to admit, it WAS fun dressing up for the midnight showings of Rocky Horror…

Funko pop has quitte a few Lilo figurines, not much beyond them though.

As for Hawaii and tourism the key word is “limit”, they still want tourism, just at a more sustainable level.

I can't speak for the rest of the US, but I've been told that the people of Hawaii are generally not fond of Lilo due to her behavior in the film. Lilo is a child processing trauma and acting out, which isn't unnatural, but was off-putting to some viewers of the film...which ultimately led to Disney removing her presence almost entirely over there and letting Stitch take the lead.
I do remember reading someone complaining how mean she was to Mertle, but, Mertle wasn't very nice to Lilo either.

The troubled and traumatized small child doesn't always make the best decisions and perfectly control her emotions.

I'm gonna file that person's complaints next to "Peter Pan is a jerk" on my list of "No Crap, Sherlock" Internet Observations.

Disneyland park could fit in the parking lot of the Magic Kingdom…

Disneyland = 100 acres
Magic Kingdom parking lot=
125 acres…

This article states it clearly enough. Tourism is a huge strain on Hawaii’s natural resources. We pay the highest in electricity in the country, have finite water supply, not to mention the effect tourism has on the actual ecosystem. And calling the sentiments of locals “stupid” for wanting to limit tourism is exactly why they have those “sentiments”. 😕

Hawaii sits in the middle of the largest ocean on the planet... build some desalinization plants and you'll be the last place on the planet with any water shortage. The problem with Hawaii are all the green weenies that don't want to allow the infrastructure to support the population.

Say it ain't so. The cartoon was godawful I can't even imagine how dreadful a live version will be.

It has Zach Galifianakis attached to it but sometimes these things do fall apart before they go into production so anything is possible.

Not into the waifu body pillows then? Come on they're so stylish!

I'm not surprised with the amount of misogyny in so many of these, The girls are so helpless sometimes I'm shocked they can even open a door without breaking their arm. And the guys, if I met them in the subway I'd kick them really really hard. Its all about breathing heavily and nosebleeds and throbbing and hiding in panty closets it's like NO! (sorry I needed to let that out)

Except for Full Metal Panic's Melissa Mao.....she's alot like me.

My gf’s favorite character (and sometimes personality match), yet merch for her is so hard to come by, virtually nonexistent in the parks or Disney springs. If you want anything with Lilo, you need to get an ornament from Days of Christmas…but it’s always her with stitch or other characters, nothing solo.

I was able to find one Figpin at a random GameStop in Louisiana. Just one though, and it was on clearance markdown to $3.99 (original price was $12.99 I believe).

And Etsy has a few awesome folks keeping the fire burning for rare characters (was able to snag a “My friends need to be punished” t-shirt from there)

But overall, it’s really disheartening.
Heck, World of Disney has bins of plushy giant armadillos from Raya and the Last Dragon. They’ve got mugs celebrating one of the worst Star Wars things to ever exist (surprisingly there seems to be more Holiday Special than there is for Last Jedi)

But no Lilo.

ALSO there is more HEI HEI merch than her....... Hei hei didn't do anything but try really hard to die and failed.

ps. I think I'm the only one who actually enjoyed the last Jedi. It wasn't the best but I like Ray a lot. I was her for Halloween a few times
