No Le Cellier for Candlelight Dinner Package

I just want a poutine when i go. Just want a quick bite for lunch. Wonder if they can get me some at le cel

So my sister goes to tons of different restaurants and is always telling me 'you gotta check this or that restaurant out' or 'this or that restaurant has the best food'. Funny thing is every time I ask her what she ordered she says 'a salad!'. And I proceed to tell her "I don't like salad". I say all of this to say I take little stock in reviews because we all seem to have different palates. I will say what I ordered at 'Le Cellier' was one of the best meals I have had. One could easily dismiss that as 'he must not go out much' which could not be further from the truth. I love trying new food from all ethnicities and generally despise chain restaurants.

Le Cellier isn't close to as good as people make it out to be. It isn't even in my top 3 in Epcot.

I was very disappointed.

The place was expensive, lots of steak dishes little else.
With Atlantic and Pacific Canada and they can not have more sea food.
They tried to tell me poutine is some sort of national dish everybody in Canada goes for.

Will not go back.

The steaks in France are better if you want to eat in Epcot, or better yet take a walk out the World Showcase gate to Flying Fish or of course, Yachtsman. Flying Fish is Seafood, but their most popular dish is their steak. I've never been to Shula's, don't make it to DTD often.

I've seen on another site one of their contributors say Flying Fish has the best steak on property, but I'm of the opinion that fish is easier to get wrong, so if you like seafood and you go to a place that is known for having pretty good seafood, it's a waste of an ADR to have a steak there.... unless if you go twice on your trip (personally I try for 2 trips to Jiko on each trip).

I concur on the quality of the Yachtsman steaks... If you want the cheddar cheese soup, go during the Drunk N' Stumble festival where it's served at the Canada booth, or make it at home...

Its the whole experience overall. But men love beef served on skewers. But like you said it can be spotty at times. I had one really bad meal but then the next one it reminded me why I enjoy it so much.

It seems I'm in a minority because everyone I talk to praises the service and the food. I don't eat red meat or chicken and the noodles looks greasy and unappetizing in all the pictures I see. Shrimp and broccoli would be my whole meal and I doubt they would be ok to just bring the shrimp skewers to my table after a while.
