DH and my first trip to WDW in 12 years without a kid! Normally we stay at BW or BC, but I have returned to my job as domestic engineer, and well the pay.....is non-existent :) That said, I thought we'd try something new. We have stayed at POFQ and POR. I am trying to decide between CSR and CBR. I also thought about the Dolphin, but I thought it may make us long for BW and it's a little more expensive than the other 2. This is going to be our time to relax and chill so proximity to the parks is not too high on the list, but we still want to be on property. Thoughts? TIA :)

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

for mew its all about CS ... Love that resort and the fact its also a convention resort seems to keep the families away so less wee kiddies running around. The scenery is awesome(as at all resorts) and the rooms are great.Never found it too big like some people complain about.

CBR is very nice. nice rooms, love the Caribbean themeing. We were in "Barbados" which is right across from the Custom House (check-in) but about a half mile walk to dining and the big pools- made checking in and out very easy but made us pause before choosing whether to eat breakfast on-site. Ask for rooms nearest Port Royale (dining, shops, pool) to avoid the long trek.

But yes, there will be kids. Lots of kids in the big pool. Like, lots. there's are at least two other quiet pools. The Banana Cabana has nice tropical drinks, which is a plus. ;)

My wife became a domestic engineer a few years ago and it was tough at first, but well worth the sacrifice! Definitely hits that vacation budget tho...

We've never stayed at a Mod, but if you go at the right time of year and with a decent discount the WL can be more reasonable than the other deluxe.

Let me give you my personal advise as a travel who has never gone with kids...once you have stayed at POR or POFQ (my favorite) none of the other moderates live up to the convenience of the PO resorts. Personally, I find CS to be too much of a "hotel" and not so much of a "resort" and CBR way way way too spread out. You feel like you are in no-mans land, and you have to take a bus to go absolutely everywhere even on property unless you are in one of the buildings directly adjacent to the foodcourt building. Want to have the most relaxing vacation as adults? POFQ or POR are the way to go.

I agree with Ron on this one. Having stayed at POR and CBR several times and visited CS a couple times, they (IMHO) just don't compare to POR or POFQ. The theming, grounds and location just can't be beat. Have a wonderful trip what ever resort you choose!
