No Handles on New Refillable Mugs

According to WDWinfo.com, Sarasota Springs has rolled out a new refillable mug without a handle.

I personally don't like this because when we were done with ours, I would use a carabiner and a piece of paracord to attach them to my backpack.

We don't have a dining plan, so we don't usually have a ton of mugs, but we were planning on getting one during our September trip. If there aren't handles, we will definitely skip. We always strap the mug on our backpack when it's empty. Can't do that very well without a handle. And we're planning to go stroller-less, so there's nowhere else to put it.

I have a feeling in the long run they'll have them both with and without handles. Much easier to carry multiple mugs with a handle.

Agreed with this one. It never fit in the cupholder in our car or the stroller. We typically carry around Yeti or Tervis cups...so we're used to not having handles.

I wouldn't. I need a handle, like someone said above, to attach to my bag and take with me everywhere.

The mugs also have RFID chips in them to track that. Even the paper cups at the resorts have RFID chips.

Or just make a cup holder friendly handle... aka one that avoids the bottom of the cup.

I might be picky but can you even call it a refillable "mug" anymore?? I thought mugs usually have handles. It's basically a refillable cup/tumbler at this point.

We've made that very observation so many times in the past five or ten years.
