No Cirque du Soleil during our trip!

So I just went to check out pricing for Cirque du Soleil and when tickets go on sale for when we will be at Disney on our honeymoon. And there will be NO performances the entire week of September when we will be there. =(

I'm bummed, neither of us has ever seen the show before and it's something we were looking forward to so that our honeymoon would be more uique compared to other trips we've taken.

It shows this on the website:

No performances on Sunday and Monday, or on the following dates:

  • January 18 - 22, 2011
  • March 22, 2011
  • May 17 -22, 2011
  • May 24 - 28, 2011
  • July 26, 2011
  • September 20 - 24, 2011
  • November 22, 2011

And we will be there September 19-24 (19th is a Monday, so no luck on that day either.)

That really sucks, I'm sorry to hear it. My fiancee and I will be seeing Cirque for the first time on our honeymoon in July. We've each been to WDW eight times (3 times together) but we had the same thought you did to make this trip stand out a bit. Really sorry things didn't work out for you...

Might I suggest going to see Blue Man Group at Universal?

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have to look into that.

I know the performers need their time off too, I was just bummed to realize that was the week it was happening. I actually planned the wedding date around the honeymoon...not during summer so it wouldn't be as crowded, during free dining time, so I was just a bit upset with myself for not thinking to check on this too.

I'm a huge Blue Man fan, so I'm slightly biased. If you do end up going (do so) call the theater a day before and ask if you can put a name "in the LED signs." Trust me, put your husbands name up or something. :animwink:

I was upset about the same thing too. I'll be in wdw in May for my honeymoon and wanted to see the show, but of course we'll be there the week they're not doing it!
