No car, shuttles from WDW to Universal?

Not sure if I am putting this in the correct spot or not. Just wondering if you are staying on WDW property but do not have a car, is there a way to get to Universal? We never go to Universal but do want to check out the new Harry Potter section of IoA on our next trip. I am not sure if there is a shuttle or anything or if we would need a taxi.

Where is the Enterprise on property please?:wave:

If I'm not mistaken, Enterprise isn't on-property, but is just off-property at Caribe Royale or one of those other resorts of Route 536 (the off-property continuation of Epcot Center Dr). They'll still come pick you up at Disney hotels, though.

I was told had to get to I-drive Mears location by taxi. Also if it is $18 is it roundtrip or one way. Are you sure you can get the roundtrip with pass for Universal at a Disney resort?

You can get a 1-day-2-park ticket plus round trip Mears transportation from any WDW resort for $110/person, so basically you're getting a non-discounted 1 day park hopper for Universal/IOA and free shuttle transportation.
This is something that's advertised on the Universal travel agent site, so it's legit.

Yeah, but Mears is $18 per person, not per party. You've got a party of at least 3 people, that's $54, it may wind up being cheaper to rent a car for the day if you can find a coupon code. Party of 4 or more, odds are even better the car's a better value, plus you have the convenience of coming and going at your leisure, without worrying about missing a bus and having to wait for a next bus.

True...I was only thinking of one person because I always go by myself.

I am so glad this question was asked... We too usually don't leave the property when we go to Disney, but are heading over to Universal for the day when we are there in Dec. to check out Harry Potter!!! :sohappy: There are 4 of us going (2A and 2C)... We were going to do the shuttle provided by Mears. We thought about renting a car for the day but then factor in the cost of gas and parking at Universal the shuttle seemed the best value.

The shuttle is fine. It picked us up at POFQ. Made a couple of other stops on the way and we were at the door of universal in about 45 minutes. Plug the Mears phone number in your cell phone and just give them a call about30-45 minutes before you are ready to go back to disney.
