No brazil?!

I know we all expected Disney to announce a new pavilion (or even 2) in epcot and Brazil was widely reported to be the one. There were very few announcements of substance at d23 this year. Very little brand new attraction type stuff. Was brazil was tabled, maybe for a few years, based on the recent news about the rainforest burning and their lukewarm response? Is there some other reason? It's going to be really hard to add a country now that some groups wont protest, rightly or wrongly. Wil we ever see a new country? I was rooting for India but they aren't without controversy either.

Without getting too political, there are few countries without issues these days. Life seemed somehow easier in the 80s when the originals were picked (look at China now though).

Disney should proceed by picking a country/countries on their culture, heritage and so on - casting aside issues of the day, for hopefully - they'll pass in time. Sterilizing the world is a fool's errand.

Brazil doesnt want to pay for The pavilion.
So isnt going to happen.

Pavilions paid for by the country have always been an exception.

While true, the misinformation is being overwhelmed by the actual, current crisis... Unfortunately, it's very real - and WILL impact us ALL.

The NASA survey of the region places the scope of this years' fires as average for the past 15 or so years. Its not the rainy season so there is plenty of fuel to go around.
