Is Disney not doing anything at all for us fans that will be stuck at home for the kick off of the celebration?

I had the 35th aniversary on tape, and even one of Donald Duck's birthday specials on tape, they were both on ABC when I was little... Do they not do anything anymore?

If not, I am very disapointed with Disney right now..

I love those old specials!! I myself have 2 specials. Disneylands 30th And Walt Disney World's 15 Birthday. Funny to watch them now and say that I was sooo glad to live in the 1980's.

Do you really have the 15th Birthday celebration? Does it have the Belinda Carlisle, Gloria Estefan, and juggler dude acts from in front of the castle?

Sadly No. This was a Disney Sunday Movie special that had Bea Arthur & Betty White as the hosts. Many comical moments here and there with them. The other guest stars they had were Ray Charles, The Monkey's, Charlton Heston, The Charlie Daniels Band, Air Supply, Emmanual Lewis (Webster Fame), Dolly Parton, Gladys Knight & The Pips, The Everly Brothers, and Harry Shearer. Some pretty interesting things during this show seeing how they were able to move floats from parades into random areas of the park for musical numbers. Oddly tho I only seen 4 areas used during the show Fantasyland, Frontierland, Adventureland and Main Street.
Some fun things to point out about this special
1) How long the party was considering that not a speck of daylight came.
2) You can tell when Cast members were used during musical numbers with the celebrities and that the park was closed.
3) Other Celebrities wishing Happy Birthday to Disney World and one being done by O.J. Simpson....
4) The party itself was taking place in the Magic Kingdom while Epcot Center was just mentioned for a big World Showcase Sequence
5) Noticing that at this time Disney Princesses only consisted of Snow White, Cinderella and for some strange reason Alice as the only face characters during the Dolly Parton 9 to 5 Musical Number.
6) The big Patriotic Part of the special with Charleton Heston (Standing in front of a blue screen and making you believe he's there) Features the colonial singers (Which I forgot the name) and a huge choir of sorts. But also shows a clip of the Thomas Jefferson sequence of American Adventure and the original Hall of Presidents.
7) You enjoy seeing the Electrical parade in all it's glory
8) How Mickey's & Goofy's voice sounded really weird and that later Chip and Dale sounded exactly like them and just was sped up.
9) The song used for the ending sticks in your head!
"On and on and Onnn. Happliy ever after. On and on Good Music and good friends. On and On and On Living life with laughter. On and on the party never ends."
