Just a little Philly humor that's all, besides I have friends and co-workers from South Jersey, and I know they just dispise (?sp) driving on Friday afternoons back into New Jersey, because of all the shoebees, heading down the Shore.

Well, talk to ANYONE who lives year round on the island, they will all say that anyone else on the island not living there ALL YEAR ROUND, or in the near vicinity of the island from the mainland, is a bennie and a shoebie!!

So you may not think that you are a shoebee yourself from Phila., but the people who matter and decide who is and who is not, ie the locales, know your position and thank you for visiting and spending money!:p

I don't go to LBI, my friend has family who live in Tom's River and the closest I have come to being at the shore, at all this year is when I worked in Holmdel in Feburary, or March

P.S. Mightyduck - we have another week and a half of school to go up here in northern New York, so I know exactly what you mean!

June 30th! I have to go until June 30th! I can't take this anymore!!!!!! But your support is helpful. :) (The kids are completely out of control--we have OVER A WEEK between finals (today) and the last day of school.... The kids know it and they are being sent home for the rest of the year--which only makes it worse because they WANT to be excused for the rest of the darn year! This makes doing horrific things to be banned from school even more appealing!)

And Susan--please edit your post re: our previous conversations--I worry, you know. Don't make an old woman worry.

Oh, and for the record... I didn't say I LIKED Sawmill pizza. I thought my story was really more of a discouragement. As for my brother, I suspect alcohol may have been involved though he denies it, and I think when his band plays there, they get fed and watered on the house....

But we don't eat the pizza. ;)

UGH the SawMill pizza. I am sorry for accusing you of eating such rubbage, haha! I know, my parents are both HS teachers and they dont get out of school till so late. I know I graduated form my HS in 2001 on June 28th, which was WAAAAAAAAAY late too, we had a lot of cancelled days b/c of the flooding here in South SSP. When the school cancels transportation to the island, they cancel school altogether, and we made up for it later.

I've lived at the beach my whole life--I'm sitting here typing now, lookin out my window and seeing the ocean--and it is great. I cannot live at another place. The lifestyle and attitude is completely different on the beach, even from Toms River, where the cancer water looms....:hurl:

I am more of an OCNJ kinda guy. I love the Ocean City boardwalk and Gillian's Wonderland Pier and Gillian's Island Waterpark (where I might be working next summer! I want to get my foot in the door of the amusment industry!).

And as for pizza, i would say Mac and Mancos on the OC boardwalk. Their pizza rocks! Next to WDW and NYC, OCNJ is my fav. place.

I now offically Love LBI. I go down there as much as possible. Get lunch at the custard hut. Dinner at Chicken and the egg. Roaming around the Blvd in my friends car. Sooo much fun. oh and i cant forget the shopping at Bay Village! Great times! And LBI was rated the 19th best beach in America in 2003!
