Just thought I would post another batch of slides that I cleaned up in Photoshop. These were the commercial ones that you could buy in the Magic Kingdom in the mid to late 1970's.

I'm particularly drawn to the hub photos. I like the partners statue but there is a nice quality that the twinkling trees bring to the environment.

That shot of Tomorrowland is awesome. Those waterfall spires were amazing.

Amazing! I miss the trees, although they kinda ruined the forced perspective on Cinderella Castle.

Cool find. Thanks for posting

I hadn't thought about the trees and forced perspective. That's a tough illusion to maintain...maybe they should just build a taller castle.

My first trip was in 1975 and I was 2 1/2. From that year on, my family also made the annual pilgrimage to WDW. I kept looking for myself and my family in your pictures. Recently, I came across my family's photo albums from our 1975 and 1976 trips. I particularly enjoyed the Bicentennial Parade pictures. Hopefully one day I will have time to scan them into the computer and post them. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Those trees do not detract from the scale and majesty of the castle. Perhaps it could be argued in later years when they were much larger, but even then think it looked better than a huge open concourse of concrete. I prefer the densely wooded Disneyland of today. Aside from the trees blocking the Haunted Mansion, the Magic Kingdom has actually been improved where the foliage has been allowed to grow in.
