Night time shows in December

I'm sorry if this topic has been covered before but I did a search and didn't come up with anything. I'm currently planning a 4 night trip to Disney the first week of December and my favorite thing to do in the parks is watch their night time shows, especially Wishes and Spectro. I'm assuming the parks close quite early, so do they show Wishes every night? I'm guessing that Spectro is only on chosen nights, but what about the fireworks? Does the same go for Fantasmic? If anyone here that has been to the parks at this time of year could give me some info on this, I would appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

I've been to the parks in January, but the last time was in 1991. At that time the Magic Kingdom had what was called the Electric Light Parade, and it did NOT run in Jan. However, I seem to remember that Illuminations did. MGM was just getting started and did not have a big closing show. Wish I could help you more. I'll be watching this thread myself, as we are coming in December !

MVMCP Has Shows

Hey, December is a great time to go. They have Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party 12 Nights in Nov And Dec ( 12 days of christmas). The park closes at 6pm. Then you can buy a seperate ticket for the party from 7 pm when the park reopens till either 11 or 12 that night. The tickets are about 30 bucks but well worth it. The tickets sell out early so buy now. And they have a bunch of great shows.

If I remember correctly from our trip in December last year, Spectro only ran a couple nights of the week. Wishes didn't happen every night, but happened several of them. Fantasmic and Illuminations ran every night.

You are correct Wishes in MK does not run every night for regular paying guests. If you buy the Mickey's Christmas Party tickets you will see Wishes on those nights. We were down in WDW Nov 29 - Dec 7, 2003 and attended the Christmas Party and saw Wishes that night. If you will be there over a weekend you will probably be able to see it then. We are hoping to be at WDW Dec 2 - 7 this year! Last year we stayed at the Polynesian and were able to see Wishes everynight because the music is played over their speakers. So my husband and daughter would go out everynight to watch it. I just love the display! Have a great time! :)

Thanks for the responses! I didn't know that you needed separate tickets for MVMCP. I'll make sure I don't wait around too much on getting my trip booked then. As long as I get to see Wishes just once, I'll be happy. Thanks again!
