Before, NOTICE I SAID BEFORE, Wishes, what was your favorite night fireworks show between Illuminations and Fantasy in the Sky?

Illuminations - all flavours, without a doubt. The choreography of the music and fireworks is spot on. Fantasy in the Sky seemed more like a firework display with some music played at the same time.
I’ve not seen Wishes, but will do in about six weeks time :sohappy:

i liked Wishes (definately the best MK firework show!) but i'd still wait longer for Illuminations. i wouldn't mind seeing Wishes more, but Illuminations is a MUST; at LEAST once every trip! we usually try to fit in two or more viewings a trip, though.

Reflections Of Earth without a doubt, the music is divine. Whenever I used it in dance competitions it always gave me the edge!

Drifting here.... .does anyone know if high humidity / rain has a drastic effect on the sitting fireworks on the barges?

Last night at Illum, there appeared to be some mistimed shells (okay... like off my 1/2 a second but still) as well as some shells that went off too close to the ground or prematurely. The opening segment was nowhere near as impressive as it usually is, IMO.

The only things unusual about the day were extreme humidity and a lot of rain - although i was told that rain was primarily over by the MK and Epcot mainly stayed dry.

As for the Fantasmic/Wishes/Illum debate, each has their good points. Fantasmic is a great stage show, but lacks in the fireworks dept (and im still trying to figure out how to photograph it). Its not lit as well as i would have hoped. Also not nuff fireworks for my taste....

Wishes, great show but honestly i was expecting more. I like the castle effects but hate the varying luminosity of the varying shells. For instance the light that comes off of a standard aerial shell is significantly less than one of those White Phosphorus-looking shells towards the end. Also i was hoping for more with the music....

And Illum, the only thing i dont like is the Huge TV set. While i know its part of the show, and only last about 4 of the 12 minute show, it tends to drag IMO, as well as with the water pumps. Also the finalle is a PITA to shoot, for the same reasons wishes is - all those high intensity shells at the end.

I'm with you on the TV, but I like the high intensity shells that illuminate world showcase.

I used to like the ending of the older Illuminations where people started applauding because they thought the sound comming of some of the fireworks towards the end was applause for the end of the show, only to find the biggest and best rockets were yet to come. :D
