The year we get P.O.D., Newsboys, and Switchfoot in the same night is the year I go.
I still think it's great the Disney does this every year, but I can't justify a trip unless atleast two of the above bands are there.

I believe that year that those bands were at Universal. I'm pretty dissapointed though that Casting Crowns is gonna be at Universal, cause there my all my time favorite christian band. I'm not too impressed with Disney's lineup this year, but o well..

Universal has a pretty strong lineup too... I would imagine that has something to do with it.

Friday night for me!!

Me too. I'm a big Chris Tomlin fan! :sohappy:

I also am a huge fan of both Newsboys and Switchfoot,IMHO Peter Furler and Jonathan Foreman are two of the most brilliant songwriters on the planet. I love P.O.D. as well but no where near as much as I do Newsboys.

We'll miss you Phil Joel!!!:(

Switchfoot's in Charleston tonight! :sohappy:

I am soooo jealous!:( I have been a huuuge Stryper fan since In God We Trust came out in 1988 and I have always wanted to see them live, but, alas, I live in a small town and most christian shows I attend are at least an hour and a half away and Stryper played mostly arena gigs so they never came anywhere close to me. The closest I ever came was seeing Michael Sweet in Asheville , NC during his acoustic tour in support of his first solo album back in 1994, I sat right in front of him.

I love Mute Math too(anyone who doubts Christians can put out extremely creative and amazingly crafted music needs to check out thier albums),the two founding members were previously in a band called Earthsuit and they were amazing too. The Choir are hit or miss for me,there's no denying that Derri Daugherty and Steve Hindalong are amazing artists though.
Sorry that I missed your post back a couple of weeks ago but still wanted to respond.

I saw Michael Sweet in '94 as well when he came through Dallas. It wasn't an acoustic set though. He had a full band. Though his solo stuff was good, his covers of the old Stryper material was the highlight of the night.

When I talk about The Choir, I think of their old school days when "Chase the Kangaroo" album came out. I saw them on after their third album came out ("Wide-Eyed Wonder") which was almost as good as "Kangaroo". After that, they began to move in a direction that didn't move me as much. Nevertheless, the Wide-Eyed Wonder tour was incredible. That was a long time ago, though.

Earthsuit...pretty cool stuff.

I will actually be down there for the Friday Night event this year, and plan on attending. IMHO you could get better than the line-up...but Third Day, Chris Tomlin and DCB are pretty hard to top. I live about 10 minutes away from the Alive Festival in Canal Fulton, Ohio and normally get a pretty awesome line-up there every year. I do have a question though. Do the bands play right after one another or are they split up on different stages, similar to a Grad Nite? I'm taking my parents/uncle and want to make sure that we get to see the big three bands on Friday.

Also...going to see MuteMath tomorrow night at the House of Blues. Saw them before and they are amazing live!!!
