Night EMH Question!

Hi everyone, I have a question about EMH. My husband and I have only done them once (before that we did E ride nights at MK,) but we haven't encountered this situation yet so I'm wondering if you all can give me some guidance....bear with me, this may be kind of confusing...

One night on our trip Epcot has night EMH. I think we MAY want to take advantage of them, but the problem is that we have dinner reservations outside of Epcot for a bit before 8PM.

As you all well know, you need to get your wristband for EMHs within the 2 hours before park closing, which at Epcot (I'm assuming they go by WS's hours,) would be between 7 and 9PM. We can, I am pretty positive, get wristbands (if we can get them close to 7PM,) and get to our dinner on time. *However*, we probably won't be able to get BACK into Epcot before 9PM when the park "officially" closes.

So, my questions:

1. If we have wristbands and valid PH passes from that day, will they let us in even after the park's "official hours" are over?
2. (A moot point if #1's answer is No,) Can we get WDW bus transportation to Epcot AFTER "official hours" are over?

Much thanks in advance, Disney people!

Yes, and yes ... you can even get your wristbands at the gate after 9pm with valid resort ID, its not limited to the two hours before offical park closing ... that is just when they start giving out the wristbands.

They start giving out the wristbands about 4pm so you can pick them up anytime afterwards, up until about an hour or so before the park closes.
You can get in after official closing time as your keycard indicates you are staying on site and therefore eligible. (yes, we have done it that way)

If The WS closes at 9pm then EMH extend until 12 midnight...plenty of time to get things done.

Busses run all day and night everywhere in and out of epcot, until about 1 hour after EMH is over, so 1am.

Wristbands will be distributed in front of Spaceship Earth once the event has started. There will probally be another dist. location at International Gateway. I've never had a probelm with running out of wristbands.

Most of Future World is open, witht he exception of Ellen, Circle of life, and Innoventions. Mealstrom, American Adventure, El Rio de Tiempo, Imprssions de France, and O Canada will also be open along with many of World Showcase's bars and restraunts. The inferno barge burnoff (a really big explosion), is held around 10:20-10:40 every night. It's cool if your in the area, but only lasts a fraction of a second. An announcemnet is made, just beforehand.

That would be a YES and YES

just make sure you get a wrist band before they run out the only give out like 1500 a night and they go fast......

No, EMH bands are unlimited...it is open to everyone who stays on site. E Ride Nights were limited to 5,000 and cost $12 to attend.

I knew I could count on you guys to fill me in! And I'm thrilled that the answer is YES!!! Now I'm even more excited about our trip -- we've never been at Epcot that late at night before! :D

(Also, the inferno barge thing sounds sweet! )

This is probably the case. It was odd, one of the bus drivers mentioned once that the wristbands are limited and once they are out, you are out of luck. We all know how reliable bus driver information is though.

I would think that Disney would stock more than enough for each evening.

We saw the Circle of Life film when we were at Epcot EMH in April. It was nice, gave me a chance to sit because it was our last day, 11 pm, and I was exhausted! :snore:

I love Epcot EMH...my DS and I got on so many of the rides....we closed out Imagination. The CM actually said to my DS age 9 "Your Mom needs to finish up!". (I was playing in the Lab)

Though not owned/run by Disney you would be eligible for EMH.

Just a reminder to all, if you do not have the Park Hopper Option on your ticket and want to participate in EMH (morning or evening) then that is the park you must visit that day.
