Yep, sad but true. Nick decided not to renew their contract because they weren't really shooting anything there anymore, instead using their studios in Califorina. The studio shut its doors for good yesterday. Its replacement? I hear that Universal going to move their production offices in there...

What does this mean for the Jimmy Neutron ride? Will they keep it or will they go and find another storyline or gut the whole building for something else? I for one hope they get rid of it either way.

Neutron will stay, along with the Nickelodeon characters that are around the parks.

I'm sad to see it go but that space should be used for something better. Right now the rumor going around is that it will become either offices or an "NBC Studios" attraction where you tour sets from NBC television shows. There's a ton of space there though and I hope it will one day become home to a new ride.

That's sad, I really did like the tour I took ages ago when they actually shot shows there. Clarissa Explains It All was one of the sets I saw. Truly was a golden age for that network...

I wish they would use it for an attraction or at least a show instead of offices since they don't have a lot of room...

that absolutely sucks. we watched the outdoor 'slime time' shows by the fountain on TV, and then my daughter got to be on a show our first vacation there. what's next, are they going to pull up the time capsule and knock down the slime fountain?

On our first trip to USO my oldest daughter had the pleasure of being slimed! What an experiance!

I am sad to see it go and I hope they put something in there other then offices!

Its really good that the Jimmy Neutron ride is going to remain open. But its a bummer that the STL (Slime Time Live) show and fountain will be non-existant. I dont agree with turning them into offices though. What a waste of attraction space.

Hasn't the long time rumor been that once the studios closed that they would use that land for some kind of IoA expansion project?

I'm not sure about that, but it would be cool to give the Port of Entry / Seuss Landing area(s) of IoA some extra space!

I do remember hearing that a while back. It would definitely give room for a new Seuss Landing attraction (I personally would like to see a Mt. Crumpit thrill ride of some sort).

Thats kinda a shame.. It was cool having a working studios in there.

It's still a very busy and fully working studio... plenty of things are shot there every month, especially right now. TNS Wrestling has been shooting there since December, Battlebots was there a few weeks ago, they had a closed set in SS24 on Saturday, and I know there's a feature being shot in May-June with the producers from Blair Witch Project... so it's still very working...

Only trouble is now the Nickelodeon characters will seem 'out of place' along with Neutron... I hope they keep the fountain and time capsule and maybe the facade... who knows...

First Ghostbusters, now this... :( What next? A Fear Factor show?!

Hmm.... I knew i heard this... (and they just repainted the stages....)

Perhaps it will be revamped into something NBC-Universal owns.. like NBC... USA... or something else... perhaps film some Live shows or Soaps...

Its a shame, The Nick studios tour used to be great, years ago that is. My brother even got to eat slime! The more recent tour wasnt so great. Still a shame, now heres to hoping the area continues to contribute to the park!
