I was just curious, how is this hotel? I was thinking of maybe staying there this year or next, who knows when. Has anyone been there before? I'd like to know a bit more about it.

I know its one of the closest hotels to Disney property and its across from the big Marriot convention center and hotel. But that's all I know from driving past it every day for 3 months.

I have never stayed there myself but I have heard mixed reviews. From what I have heard from a few friends the resort was great for the kids but it could get a bit loud and a little too much "kid stuff" for the parents. The other issue is the price. Rack rates for this resort start about $140 per night for a one bed room plus taxes and a $25 resort fee but these rates can quickly climb into the $300-$400 per night for the 2 bed room suites depending on the season. There are deals to be had there that can shave off a good bit of that but I have never been able to get the final cost per night much under a discounted rate at a Deluxe Disney resort (AKL in particular) and I have never got it under a discounted rate at a moderate.

That's good to know. If we did go we'd probably be going to Universal Studios though, or just staying at the hotel.

I would only be interested in the 1 bedroom suite. I don't mind if its too loud. As long as its not before bedtime :hammer:. I am just really concerned of the amount of bad reviews I have read.

We stayed there a few years back and were in what was essentially a 2 bedroom suite. It was a pretty nice stay as our two girls were in the bunkbeds in one room and we were in the other. I wouldn't reccomend the eating area for anything other than coffee in the morning. We actually thought we would use the pool area more and ended up not using it once while we were there for a week. We are DVC members now and ANY onsite suite at Disney is bigger and better.

I drove past it everyday to work and I have always wanted to stay there but I didn't. Maybe someone will post their stay on here to let us all know about it.
