Hi everyone,

My wife and I are wanting to go to Disney in March and are looking for a nice place (not too expensive) that will allow smaller dogs. Our dog (you can see in my album) is completely house broken and we are going to board him in the Disney kennel's during the day, but he sleeps with us at night and I won't put him in a kennel overnight.

Does anyone know of any places on site or offsite, I assume offsite, since Im sure onsite doesnt allow pets in the hotel.

I know Loews Hotels (Universal Studios) does allow pets such as small animals.

I know it's not Disney and is about a 15 minute drive, but that is one thing they have that the Mouse doesn't!

Universal is the way to go!!

We stayed at the Royal Pacific Hotel at Universal with our beagle and loved it! They have doggie room service and lots of trails we even brought our dog to breakfast buffet but we had to eat in the patio setting of course our dog got some much attention walking through there lobbys and gretting all the other people and dogs too. The Disney Kennels are great because you can play during the parks and walk your dog a few times during the day! The best kennel is Animal Kingdoms but If you looking for longer hours either epcots or the one a fort Wilderness. If you have any questions just email me at Kevin77crash@yahoo.com

Thanks and have a Magical Day!

I just wish that Disney would get a clue and offer a Disney Pet Resort. I would pay for my dogs to be at WDW, if the facilities were up to my standards. Disney is missing the boat on some big bucks with this. We have 3 dogs. One is too medically fragile to board and luckily, we have 2 friends that will look after her for us...if she is still with us in December, but the other two are going to have to be boarded for about 11 days in December...sharing a "suite" at the Best Friends Pet Resort. The cost of boarding our dogs, feeding them our food, walking them/extended playtimes will be roughly the same cost as what we will pay for our hotel stay for 10 nights at POP. It's insane. I would love to have my dogs closer to me, but Disney doesn't offer the service that my local Best Friends Pet Resort does. It's a cash cow. Why isn't Disney doing this? I would gladly take the dogs for a few hours of play around FW on one of our non-park days at WDW. If anyone at Disney is reading this.....take the idea and run with it. I miss my dogs when we vacation at WDW!

Maggie....owner of 3 spoiled Chihuahuas, 4 rotten cats, a pampered hampster, and one freaky little asian fired bellied toad.

Because some people have allergies to different pets. Pet owners are not all that picky about where their animals relieve themselves, lots of maintenance. Some owners are not concerned about fleas and other parastites or diseases which can be transferred to other animals. Not everyone likes animals ( I happen to love them). Disney keeps themselves relatively free from the danger of lawsuits for that ever present chance of a dog bite. The list is endless and as much as I love my pets, I think they are much better off at home. Traveling is stressful for them.
