This may have been posted before, sorry if that's the case, but I went to Wal-Mart last night to pick up some stuff for my upcoming WDW trip. To my surprise I saw that they are now carrying Disney shirts and capris/sweats! They are very nice (some are cute others not too cutesy but more adult), made by Hanes, good quality, tagless and comfortable. The shirts are not typical baggy t-shirts either. They are nice fitted tops, but still 100% cotton so they are lightweight and comfortable enough to wear when visiting WDW. I picked up 4 shirts for my trip for five to eight dollars each!
I live in a small town, but I thought my local Wal-Mart had a good selection of designs, characters and colors. Mickey, Tink, Muppets, Minnie, and Daisy are the characters that I saw but I'm sure that bigger Wal-Marts in bigger cities will have a better selection. I hope this helps those of you looking for Disney clothing for an upcoming trip to WDW or just to buy because you love Disney!
*Only problem, I only saw the clothes for women and juniors, I didn't look in mens so I'm not sure if they carry it for the guys!*

I saw those too! I don't know about others, but I love to wear SOMETHING Disney every day of our vacation. It is nice when you can find something affordable AND cute! I just bought some sweet Mickey earrings on eBay for $3.99. They arrived new on the original WDW card. The original tag was on the back... $49.95! Love it! My favorite words are sale, clearance, discount, etc.! LOL

I just checked Walmarts website, they do have some cute Disney tees! I usually get mine at Kohls, they're similar. You gotta wear Disney shirts in Disney. :)

Only disney things I usually see at walmart are the overated Hannah Montanah and High School Musical stuff. And I think some cheetah girls stuff too. Barely see any mickey and friends shirts, I guess I dont look hard enough, but the other overated stuff is really noticeable, Id figure mickey and them would be too. Though I wouldnt really buy any of it, just noticing.

Buyers beware! I've bought Disney T-Shirts/clothing at Walmart before and it did not last more than 3 wash. Hopefully with the clothing being made by Haines now it will be better.

Hilarious...throw in garage sale with your favourite words and I'd swear it was my wife! :ROFLOL:And she is from Michigan too!

WOOOOOAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH....nice clothes in walmart?!?!?

THE APOCOLYPSE IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BOW DOWN AND WORSHIP STITCH AND LIKE IT.....

Oh and for the background to that, the walmart here in my town is disgusting. Tried on underwear lying all over the clothing section....god only knows what's gone on in those pants. The store smells like a ton of stray cats have been living there for quite some time.

Hey Mikeser71... you're just across the water! Sarnia is a great area... we used to go every year for the Highland Games. Too bad it folded.

Yup, garage sale and estate sale are among my faves too! I have found some great vintage Disney stuff that way!

I picked up a couple new Mickey shirt @ WalMart & a Muppets @ Kohl's, too, but my favorite find so far was an Animal T-shirt @ Sears. Next to Kermit, he's my favorite and I was thrilled to find him by himself on a shirt.

I don't know about other Wal-marts, but mine has carried a pretty big selection of Disney themed t-shirts for years. I must have about 20 of them by now.

Disneyoutlet.com has shirts for kids starting at 3.99 and clothes for adults starting at 2.99.

Also, Disneystore.com has shirts around 5.99 each. They are really good deals, and unlike Walmart and Hanes, they don't support sweatshops and ruin local Mom and Pop shops.

Trying not to preach, just bringing up an alternative:)

I saw a Tinkerbell shirt in Wal-Mart once that had her sitting on a mushroom
with a drousy-eyed, come hither look and the caption said "I'm your present!"
I wouldn't have minded it so much, but it was a little girls shirt. Would never
buy such a shirt for one of my daughters!

Call me an old fuddie-duddie!! :zipit:

Whenever I go for x-rays I always where my Disney shirt from Wal-Mart. It beats wearing that big heavy lead lined apron and it works just as well!

You can buy iron ons of the characters at Wal-Mart and other places. Then you can make your good quality shirts by ironing them onto plain shirts, long or short sleeve, or other clothing.

I have a very nice gray long sleeve shirt with Donal Duck at the upper left.

BTW- Never go to Wal-Mart after the sun goes down.

If I can figure out how to post pics on here I'll put ones up of the shirts I bought sometime tonight. That way you guys can see what they look like, quality, etc.

*Luckily, my local Wal-Mart isn't bad, stinky or any of the terrible things previous posts have said. But, I do know that it has closed some local stores and it was a HUGE ordeal for the town when it was built. But, I just wanted people to know about the shirts in case they were on a budget like me!*:D

Hey Holly! Yeah, it was too bad about the Highland Games. :( We have Bayfest )big rock and country concert) every year now though which is really good for our city and the economy. :sohappy:

My wife is from Marysville and her family is all around the Port Huron area (across the crick - haha), so we are over there quite a bit. LOVE shopping in Port Huron and southeastern Michigan! :sohappy:

My wife and her mom and sister are out garage sailing pretty much every week (Thurs., Fri., or Sat.) over in the Port Huron area and she usually brings me home a sweet Disney souvenir each week. Everything from cool figurines to collectible plates and mugs to books. GREAT vintage stuff, as you said.
