NFL Pro Bowl to be in Orlando will effect WDW

This is highly annoying. My usual winter FL trip starts either Pro-Bowl week, or the week after the Super Bowl (depending on if I need to be at home to watch the Seahawks play in the Super Bowl). I don't think I'm going to find my cheap airfare now :banghead: .

While this doesn't affect me, this is a desperate attempt by the National Football League to save the Pro Bowl. Pro Bowl has been a joke for many years even before the changes they did to starting in 2010. The truth is NFL players have been skipping the pro bowl for years even before put it the week before the Super Bowl. The reasons players pull out for years was due to them not wanting to take a chance of getting hurt in a meaningless game or wanting their existing injuries to heal.

I had to google what camping world stadium is after I saw an article that said the game is going to be played there. I was like did Orlando get a new stadium? How stupid no one is going to call the Citrus Bowl that

Great news for Orlando Tourism. Stadium renovations are quite good and new soccer stadium finishing soon. I imagine might also serve as a test for possible expansion/relocation in the next decade so hopefully it gets plenty of local support. I know Disney will do their part but this a win for everyone.

To the people complaining about the Pro Bowl being a negative for WDW travel...did you complain when the Braves were down there every March for Spring Training? I honestly doubt the Pro Bowl will stay in Orlando because they tried moving it to Phoenix as well and the players were less than thrilled about it being there.

Does anybody think this could play a factor into the Disney Quest building? Originally wanting the NBA Experience, having that fall through, and now wanting the NFL to replace them? Just a thought.

It's going to be a hectic few weeks there...With ProBowl the week of the 29th....Super Bowl Feb 5th (IF They decide to have their parade in MK), and Feb 11-12 is the Cheerleader Weekend (And they are there all week before the event) PLUS! This also doesn't add up to the countless Brazilian Tour Groups to top this off.......:banghead:

They've been sending the Superbowl MVP to Disneyland when the game is out west and WDW when it's on the east coast. It's in Houston this coming season.

I am sure the players and their families are excited. I will give Disney kudos, this event will give a bump to a traditional slow period. The month between MLK weekend and Valentines day is usually slower and a nice time to visit. More evidence that slow seasons are becoming a thing of the past :(

Great idea for Disney to run busses to/from WWoS or Disney Springs to/from the event.

Plate them in armor....ok im going overboard. But yeah the trip is a bit far i think guessing off top of my head im saying over 30 minutes? So people will pay for a "fake" football game at some two bit stadium and than want to be bussed to anything worthwhile afterwards? I think stadium choice is just meh...where's Gillette stadium when you need it.
