I just wanted to tell you all, that next wednesday I'm travelling to the States , more specificly to Holmdel, New Jersey, to live one of my many dreams: See Green Day live. 10 Hours by plane from here, plus hour and a half from NY to NJ. Am I crazy? Yeah.

I'm going to the Pop Disaster show on june 2. I'm excited to see Green Day...I can't say much for stink 182 and that other band though.

I saw the Foo Fighters touring with the Chilli Peppers...they put on a good show. Should be even better paired up with Green Day!! :D

Yeah, they're playing a festival here in scotland, but there was talk of putting then on different stages at the same time, which would be immensely stupid! :brick:

Green Day's cool...But I can only honestly say I like 2 songs by Blink 182, heh.
Luau, Are you traveling here only for the concert?!

Actually, I'm also travelling only 4 days to tour the two universities I'll probably be going next semester: NYU or Temple. What is unbelievable is that in those 4 days my favorite band was playing in that exact place! I made many phone calls to many agents until I found tickets, which were totally sold out. Lucky me.

Back from the States. The concert was awesome. PNC BANKS ART CENTRE was really amazing, and Green Day practically was perfect. Blink wasn't that good, they still have to learn how to manage the audience and interact with people. It's crystal clear Billie Joe is far too advanced as a show's host.

I saw the Pop Disaster Tour in Atlanta, Ga on May 18th and Green Day was by far the star of the show. Jimmy Eat World was pretty good too, but Blink 182 was kinda blah, reason given was they were a little under the weather. I am giving Blink one more chance this summer and if the show isn't any better then I am going to have to reconsider my fandom.

I've never got to see blink yet. I've had tickets for two shows over here, and they cancelled both. I was not happy!:fork:

HOLMDEL ROCKED!

Maybe this is biased info. because I am a huge Green Day fan since they started, but the difference between GD and BLINK is basically one: Green Day makes a show, Blink a concert.
Green Day interacts with the audience. Three guys have the opportunity of being called to play near them, some are chosen to see the show from the stage, some guys have opportunity of starting singing a song, Billie Joe uses a squirtgun to refresh the people, the trumpet players are a chicken, a bee and two mexicans and they destroy their intruments in the end before Time of your life. I mean , no rock band does so many things in a show. Though Blink is right now more popular than GD people became more excited with the GD part of the concert by far.
