Next Epcot Country

Ok could someone from Europe please explain this...I always assumed (yeah I know) that England was a part of The United Kingdom...like Wales, Scotland, etc. that that was the reason it was called UK...but then again my husband calls it Great Britain..so what is the correct name? England, Great Britain, UK? Thanks for the lesson!

So to summerize this jubberish up. Brazil and Australia would go into Animal Kingdom. Chile, India, Israel, Peru and Russia can't play with the big boys.

I forgot something, the country that i would most like to see first is probably Switzerland and Belguim.

I would love for there to be a Matterhorn in DW...it's one of the disneyland rides I want to go on most, so...that would be cool for Switzerland. It would take some adjusting, like, it'd be weird to walk into Epcot and see that at first though, hehe

But it would kinda cool to have a big Sphinx copy thing...lol (I forgot what it's called, heh)

Egypt would be cool, the could have pyramids, a cool ride, plus it could also be educational becuase of the ancient history there! I also agree about Russia, there government would never pay for that!

Great Britain is Scotland, England and the Principality of Wales.
The United (?) Kingdom is the above plus Northern Ireland / Ulster.

And as I continually say on these boards there is a world of diffrence between being English and one of the Celtic nations.

As for Epcot countries,
Holland.... cheese, beer, the home of Father Xmas, dykes ( the type that keep out water), and windmills.

Russia is a good one that has been suggested, perhaps the Russian mafia could fund it?

Thailand or India... im thinking food here!

Spain with an attraction featuring the catching of undersized fish with illeagal nets and it could be funded by the UK just to make it more like the EU

I still think World Showcase needs more RIDES! A new country would be nice but they should concentrate on putting in some new rides in the existing countries. For example, Germany was originally designed with a ride and built but at the last minute the ride was scrapped. If a new country went in would everyone flock to EPCOT to see another restaurant, shops and Movie? Probably not. Adding a new country won't bring in the crowds and Disney knows this. Disney needs to think out of the box. In my opinion, World Showcase needs to be united by a single E-ticket ride. Ride around the world coaster or some type of Utopian themed ride. " Come to World Showcase and see our utopian vision of the world."

btw, since his movie is done by mgm, that's just another excuse for why Disney should have him at WDW! i would LOVE to see him there! think about it...most kids and adults love him...or at least recognize him! not to mention how family-friendly he is! he'd be perfect for something at Disney! :sohappy:

so, thinking 'out of the box' would be putting in an e-ticket ride? mmmm...in my opinion, that's just not so. EVERYONE can have success with a thrill ride. and of course, E-tickets bring in the crowds..of thrill seekers? but what of the families with young kids, or those sporting elderly grandparents? and i know you're not suggesting taking out everything in every country to put in a thrill ride or such...i understand that. but to me, thinking out of the box would be NOT putting in another E-ticket ride. just my 2 cents, though.

When I referred to "thinking out of the box"; the box being another new country with shops, restaurant and attraction. My idea was some type of ride that unifies World Showcase, not necessarily a thrill ride in the middle of World Showcase. What are your ideas for World Showcase?
