LOL Yes, there was a movie. It bombed in the box office- but it was long before movie musicals were the rage. It found a second life through video and Disney Channel and became a cult classic for an entire generation. A revamped version opened on Broadway this past year and has been doing amazingly well- many Tony nominations and rave reviews. The music in both versions is amazing. Ignore the bad reviews and watch it.

I second that. The Broadway version was FANTASTIC!

And now it's a Tony winning Broadway hit. Amazing what some rewrites, new cast and a change in medium can do.

Yeah I thought so too when I was watching that segment, they really are missing the boat when it comes to shows/entertainment.

lol I just noticed how ridiculous the still shot from the youtube video looks. It's like Bohemian Rhapsody just started playing and they all got their air guitars/instruments out to join in. Newsies rock! lol
