Hi, we just booked our first trip to Disneyland Paris and will be staying in the Newport Bay Hotel. Just wondered if anyone has stayed there recently and what they thought of it? Also i was wondering what kind of weather i can expect in March? Thanks:)

Not recently, but we last stayed at the Newport in 2005. And would do so again. Very nice, very very big - the corridors to the rooms can be a bit like a maze. Everything is well signed though. Plenty of places to eat, a sizable shop and nice CMs too.

Remember, if you`re room isn`t ready when you arrive but you have park tickets they will take your bags into safe keeping until later that day so you can hit the parks - in 2005 this was outside the main drop off doors, to the right. The hotel has also undergone a huge refurb over the past few years too.

March will be cold - we went the start of April this year and days were cold but sunny (not too bad in the sun) but nights - if dry and clear - were freezing. Plenty of winter DLP clothing to buy ;)

Have a great time. I know you will.

all i remember bad about this hotel was endless coridoors, its nuts but still quite fun, plus its a nice walk to the park. im pretty sure last march it was snowing, i was there in feb and will be again this year and it was just freezing  make sure you buy a fleece blanket and lots of plush to shove down your jumper, also when you get cold ride potc always heated to the max

Thanks for the help. I've actually just changed it to the New York Hotel as its only about 50 euro more. I had an idea it would be very cold, snowing etc for march. Oh well at least if we're freezing we'll be freezing at Disney! And the kids will probably be delighted if it snows:)

I have to tell you... I just came back from DLP and you don't KNOW freezing! Brrr!

My bf and I were bundled head to toe in double sox, gloves, scarves, layers and layers, huddling together- and the French people were all totally fine with the weather!

Plus, for a park that resides in a multi-season city, they sure have a lot of outdoor cue's! Bundle up!

How are you getting there?
Are you going from St.Pancras in London or taking a flight to Paris?

We stayed there in OCT2004 and it was very nice. From our room window though you could see it really needed a paint job. I have to imagine that by now it has been repainted.

The train into Paris was a relatively short trip as well.

My husband and I took a tour whilst we were there also. We purchased it from our hotel and got on an all day bus that went through Paris to all of the sites and even included a river cruise on the Seine and a stop at Notre Dame for lunch on our own. Lunch was not included in the price. The cruise continued down the Seine to the Eiffel Tower and because we were part of this tour we skipped the lines at the Eiffel Tower . . . HIGHLY recommend this tour.:)

My avatar is BTMR which is on Tom Sawyer island there . . . really cool!!!

You are going to really enjoy yourselves!!!
