So my husband I I just got the shock of out lives and found out we are expecting our 3rd! We are planning a trip for spring break (March 29-april 5). By then i will be 14 weeks.

Of course I was thinking of what I can't ride.

What do you guys think about Splash? I feel like it isn't an issue but others think differently! Of course I won't do coasters etc....

I am 10 1/2 weeks today. I went to Disneyland yesterday and rode Pirates, Small World, and Little Mermaid. Would have done more, but I ran out of time.

I rode Splash when I was 12 weeks along with my son, but I'm way more cautious nowadays so I don't think I'll try Splash this time, even though it's fairly harmless.

When I was 4-5 weeks (back in December) I rode a few other things. Mr. Toad was the "roughest" ride I tried. Not sure I'll do that one again.

My favorite part was just being out in the fresh air and sunshine after 2 months of nausea. :)

Have the discussion with your doctor. S/He can lay out reasonable expectations/limits on what you can or can't do. If you have the same doctor as with the first two, even better, they'll know more about what issues might arise.

I always thought this with my wife, however any Disney trip we've done has been in between pregnancies. I believe Disney's website has a guide for things that are safe to ride when pregnant. Most of the stuff in Fantasyland would be okay. In fact, just thinking about Magic Kingdom off the top of my head I would sit out all three mountains. Other than that I think you are honestly fair game for everything else. Astro Orbiter would be the next roughest of all of them and I think that'd be alright as well.

As for the other parks: Tower of Terror, Mission Space, Star Tours (never mind that's Magic Kingdom too), Everest, Dinosaur, Test Track, Rock 'n Roller Coaster should all be off the table. Some people think Splash is okay. You know what, to each their own. The ride is tame 99% of the time. It is the 52 foot drop at the end, although that is still pretty smooth. It's up to you for that one, it's borderline.

Thanks everyone!

I will talk to my doc but was just curious about it! I was VERY pregnant (35 weeks) with my second and went and had no trouble but that big barely rode anything.

So glad we are going since it will be a while till we get back!

Personally, I would not ride Splash. It is not a coaster, but it can be pretty jarring, especially on the big hill. I just would not be willing to take the chance. Since this is not your only trip in your life (and I am guessing not the last), I would just not risk it if it were me.

All of those make sense except Buzz? I don't see why going on that ride would be hazardous to a pregnant woman at all?!?

My doctor had told me to stay off anything that has a medical warning. I was surprised that TSMM didn't have a warning. That one seems a little rough to me when transitioning from one game to the next.

I rode it last year when I was around 10 weeks pregnant, thinking it would be fine if I just didn't spin my car too much. Nope, I was SO nauseated when I got off...I was definitely not expecting that! I think the tunnel w/ the stars was the worst part. And rides NEVER make me sick - ordinarily I ride everything, and as many times as possible. Everyone is going to handle things differently during pregnancy, but that one definitely did a number on me.

I'd ask the doctor, but there probably isn't much you can't ride. You're still allowed to jog, go swimming, bounce around doing aerobics and stuff at that stage, so the baby must be anchored in there pretty well...there can't be much that they'll say you can't do.

But ask the doctor. :)
