I can't believe newegg. I bought 800 bucks in computer parts for a computer I was building for someone, and everything got there fine ect. So I sent them an email telling them how satisfied I was with their service and they are sending me 30 bucks worth of stuff for FREE. Anyone else have similar experiences with newegg or any other companies?

I got a 250gb Seagate drive and Macally firewire enclosure for Christmas. They sent the drive without the box, paperwork, warranty information... nothing. And the blue status light on the front of the enclosure died after one day, so now it only glows red when it's doing something, instead of pink/purple like it should, and blue when it's not busy. Everything else works fine, but those issues really bother me.

No, I can't be without it now. And I don't know what OEM means, but the drive has a five year warranty according to the site, and I have no information of my own saying that so I'm worried that if the drive goes kerplunk, I have no recourse.

OEM is software or hardware designed to be included with computers being built, and is usually much cheaper than retail price. OEM is what Newegg specializes in.

With the agreement that the system builder or the person installing will provide tech support instead of the company. It usually comes with no instructions or packaging. I bought a processor from them and it came in a white box with some foam, thats it. But I saved probably 100 bucks by doing that.
