Hey everyone!
I am new to this site and just thought I'd introduce myself.My name is Beth and I am 29 years old and I live in Cincinnati,OH.
I will be travelling to Walt Disney World for the very first time from September 6-12.And guess what else? It's also my honeymoon,because I am getting married on September 2nd.I am SO excited about going,because from what my fiance tells me (he goes almost every year!) I will have the time of my life.But I am also nervous about flying down there because I have never flown before,but he says it's a piece of cake.And it's only about a 90 minute flight to Orlando.I would like to talk to other Disney *Virgins* (people who are also going for the first time this year) and make new friends on this board.

Newbie here too... sort of ... I did go to the Magic Kingdom just for the day once when I was about 10 and then again when my oldest daughter was about 4 (she is 21), but I have never stayed IN Disney... nor have I gone to any of the other 3 parks. So I am really looking forward to my trip in just 24 days and 47 minutes!

Welcome to the boards. Here are a few tidbits that will help you make your transition into WDWmagic life as smooth as possible.

1. Never ever under any circumstances start a thread concerning Monorail expansion, Harry Potter or Indiana Jones rides at WDW or a Fifth park. All of these ideas have been discussed to death and the general consensus is that none of them are even remotely possible.

2. Search is you friend. Always try a search before starting a new topic. Very frequently the information you are looking for is already here.

3. A dislike and distrust of Jim Hill is required for membership. Just kidding but you will find many members don't believe this guy's rumors and with pretty good reason. However for Disney history Jim Hill is amazing.

4. Rumors are just rumors, unless of course Lee or Corrus say otherwise.


That should keep you pretty safe. Welcome to our rather large and sometimes disfunctional family.

Congrats on your upcoming nuptials. You will have a blast at WDW on your honeymoon. I went there on mine way back in 1988 - MK & Epcot were the only parks available. You have so much more to do now!!!
