Newark to Orlando - Late Flights?

Hi guys, my fiancee and I have booked our honeymoon at Disney World from June 1st to June 8th. We're hoping like crazy that an 11PM flight can open up on May 31st so that we can head out immediately following our reception. We've never taken a flight that late but I was hoping to gauge from others here if flights from Newark to Orlando that late happen often? Any feedback/advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

Congratulations and best wishes! Unfortunately I have no firsthand experience. When we lived in the NYC area, we always took the earliest flight out that we could possibly get. Our experiences with later flights out of Newark (or JFK or LGA) were always delayed because those busy airports just get more and more congested as the day goes on. I doubt it would be much of an issue THAT late, though.

If you don't manage to find a flight late on 5/31, you could still head to the airport and do one of those park/sleep/fly services at an adjacent hotel. That way you can be on the plane first thing Sunday morning and your hotel will shuttle you to the airport. http://newark.parksleepfly.com/

Your best bet is to see what day of the week you are wanting to travel on then check for a flight now. For instance, if you want to fly on a Saturday later in the year, you can check Saturdays now to see what the flights are available.

First of all...Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding! Best of Luck to you both.
I assume that you are looking at 2015 since it looks like flight for those dates in 2014 are quite costly. I would not wait and hope that a flight for that hour comes up....looks like the last flight for Orlando out of Newark is 4PM. That seems pretty consistent. If I were you, I would grab a hotel room close to the airport after your reception and take an early flight out the next morning. I looked on SWA and the first flight out on your travel date in 2014 is 7AM. I was actually surprised that there were no direct fights...they all have a stop or plane change. Anyway....that would be my advise. Not sure about other airlines. Good Luck!

Thanks for all the feedback guys! We booked the honeymoon 2 weeks ago with a departure time of 6AM on June 1st. If a late flight opened up on May 31st, we'll happily switch the flight and accommodations just to be there that night. Our plan has been to just get a hotel at the airport that night and leave the following morning if we have no luck leaving after our reception. Thanks again for all the kind words, guys! We're so excited to head back to Disney following what's to be the happiest day of our lives :)

Congratulations on your engagement!!

I fly out of Newark all the time and the latest I have seen flights is around 9:30pm. (United)
Keep in mind that if you fly out late and get in that night, you will have to pay for that night of stay also.
