1. Lose weight

2. Start Exercising

That's all. Never had these resolutions before and never thought I would have to make them someday, but Marriage and an office job really takes it's toll.

here's the clincher...

my aunt JUST started her midlife crisis, so she got a Harley Anniversary Fatboy. I'm waiting for her to finish it so I can take it from her.. lol. Otherwise, I'm thinking like a BMW F650GS or F650CS... a little 650CC cruiser. I'm not comfortable enough on a bike yet to get anything stronger than that. I'll get the Ducati later on... lol

Well, there are three of them...

1. To complete all of my assignments (and on time) for my final semester of college. This is something I have yet to do in the three years I have been in college.

2. To try and cut back on non-work related internet use at work (which is what I am doing right now, actually!)

3. And finally, as every year, to try not to get sick during the year. It never works, but it's worth a try!

I've seen a little bit about the BMW's. They'd probably be great handling bikes and excellent to learn on. It definitely makes sense not get anything too powerful to start, but you might be surprised how quick you could outgrow the BMW's. They probably won't feel very stable at speeds over 70 mph.

I've always liked the Suzuki SV 650's:

The Suzuki is probably heavier and a bit more powerful than the BMW but still in a manageable range. It would probably be a bit harder to learn on than the BMW (but a few thousand $ less).

Of course if you're willing to spend up to $8000, you could get the Buell XB9S:

They've got a "low" variation that has a nice low seat to help you feel confident when you're learning. It also should be a relatively easy bike to learn on but offer some performance when you're ready (and I'm not just saying that because I make money off of them . . . well, maybe a little.)

Of course neither the Suzuki or Buell offer the BMW roundel.;)

My new year resolution is to start my new life, and be grateful for the oportunity to start it.

This also includes finding out who I am, and finding my place in this world. :)

nah... I'm willing to spend up to $6500... used. lol. BMW of Orlando is less than a mile from where I live. They've been importing C1's to the US... which are quite possible the FUGLIEST thing I've ever seen. I'm friends with a few of their employees, as well as several of the instructors over at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute... they know my tastes and my skill level.. they're actually the ones who recommended the smaller Beamer (Beamer- Bike, Bimmer- Car.. lol) for me.

Instead of trying to lose weight try to improve your health & walk daily. When I looked at it this way it seemed less daunting than going on another diet and I actually managed to succeed. :sohappy:
Word games I know, but it worked for me.
