You're going to have to get to your chosen park EARLY - I mean REALLY EARLY - mid morning at the latest to be sure to get in and avoid any disappointment.
Get any dinner reservations booked as soon as you can
See the fireworks at MK on the 30th, then see Epcot's on the 31st. More "bang" for your dollar.
We were in EPCOT NYE 2008We went to Epcot on NYE 2011
Yep, over 4 hours by mid afternoon. My daughters had FP for TT around 6:30 - it took them over an hourand the crowds were insane. 4+ hour wait for Soarin
We arrived around 10am. We took the monorail from GF to TTC and onto EPCOT. Looking out of the windows at the lines of queuing traffic at that time of the morning was amazingI don't remember exactly what time we got there, but it was definitely before lunch.
We claimed a spot by the Lagoon about 6:15 and didn't move until the final Illuminations had finished. There were people sitting and sleeping on every bit of grass that you could find waiting for the festivities to start.
I'd say check out the MK fireworks from the Polynesian on the 30th and then head to EPCOT early on NYE. Epcot has a great atmosphere and some unique entertainment... and it's the only day of the year you can justify a trip on Ellens adventure and take in the circle vision films! Early evening you get hats and horns and they set up several champagne bars around the promenade. The laser light dj in Italy is fun and the one in China is great - they have fire!!!
Deff do this, we did this for this past new years.See the fireworks at MK on the 30th, then see Epcot's on the 31st. More "bang" for your dollar.
