New Years Eve, No Park Tickets, Resort Hop

Hello all, We are starting out New Years Eve morning for a late breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and ending it with a late dinner at Kona Cafe. I am looking for must see resort lobby's to fill in the rest of the day. I am assuming that at this point they will still be decorated for Christmas. And how does the transportation plan look?

I have on my list:
Start at Grand Floridian and monorail to
Contemporary (do they have anything special?) and monorail to MK/boat to Wild Lodge
Wilderness Lodge and bus to HS
NOT SURE IF THESE ARE IN THE RIGHT ORDER
Boat to Boardwalk Inn (anythings special here?)
Boardwalk (anything special here?)
Beach (anything special here?)
Yacht Clubs (anything special here?)

Then need the best way to get back to our resort Port Orleans Riverside.
Thank You!

Contemporary has a gingerbread display on the 4th floor concourse.

You can take a direct boat from Contemporary to Wilderness Lodge.

Once at DHS, you can either take the boat to Boardwalk or walk. The boat will stop at Swan/Dolphin and then Yacht/Beach before arriving at Boardwalk.

Boardwalk Resort has a gingerbread display in addition to a tree. There is nothing special on the Boardwalk itself per se. Yacht *may* have a train layout in addition to a tree (train was not up last year.) Beach has a gingerbread carousel in addition to a tree.

If you want to use free Disney transportation to return to POR from the Epcot resorts, take the boat (or walk) back to DHS and catch the POR bus from there. Another option would be to take a Disney Springs bus from the last resort you visit and make the bus (or boat) transfer to POR from there.

I'm not sure this plan will consume an entire day, unless you take your time and fully explore all the resorts you visit. You may want to consider adding AKL too, as the tree and decor there is very unique and you can spend a lot of time outside on the observation decks watching the animals on the savanna.

You could take a boat from Port Orleans to Disney Springs, I believe they have a huge xmas tree display with a lot of different themed trees and characters?

Expanded Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail: One of the big hits from the 2016 holiday season was the 15-tree tree trail in the former bus loop which housed custom trees themed to specific Disney films and/or characters. This year, Disney is not only just Christmas Tree Trail, but is also expanding it to twenty-five trees, including ten new trees inspired by Disney classics such as Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Snow White and Dumbo.
